This is my second Garmin. I used to have a Nuvi 205. The 57LM 5 is a much better unit. It acquires satellites faster and the directions are clearer. One feature I really like is that it lets you know when you enter a school zone. I also like the split screen when exiting an expressway.

I bought the Garmin - Nüvi 57lm 5 Gps With Lifetime Map Updates -because I was going on a road trip and it work flawlessly right out the box. I was on the road for 2 days in some bad weather and it held up without never loosing signal. The only fault I found, it doesn't detach from the mount easily.

Bought two of these for my teenage daughters who are off to college. They have NO since of direction and this gets them everywhere they need to go with easy to understand directions. Clearly shows what lane you need to be in when exiting. I have similar model for myself. Love it!

This is great GPS to use and gets system update periodically.

Garmin is very easy to understand and operate. Gave it to my sister for Christmas. I had given her one several years ago and she loved it until it she wanted newer version. She is very happy with ease of operation. I highly recommend this product. And the price was right too!

This GPS is so easy to use and provides the directions you need for your trip. The screen is just the right size and provides a clear picture. The speed limit is always shown which helps with driving the correct limit and eliminates concerns of getting a speeding ticket!

It does what it says but does not list phone numbers. Be sure to update

Great bang for the buck and love the school zone/speed limit warnings. Entering address for navigation is somewhat of a hassle because it tries to predict city/state address while entering destination. Overall accuracy, features and functionality rate 8 on a scale of 1 to 10.

The house on the left garmin said was on the right. I went in a ditch turning around . Other wise it works well

Good GPS. Voice directions are accurate and screen is decent size 5inch has life time maps which was important to me I got for $100 with free shipping and used a $5 BB reward certifcate great deal one con is that the unit can use a remote back up camera which BB doesnt carry

Liked that you could change voice on GPS scary voice was a gag to have on he would pop in random and say funny stuff to keep you alert while driving all in all was good to go no problems did what it was made to do

Love the fact it has the gas station symbols that pop up so you know they are coming up at exits.

I drive over 25,000 miles a year and use this navigation system everyday. It works out for me great. No problems so far. I would defenitely recommend it for people not looking to spend a crazy amount on one that probably has just exra, unneeded, bells and whistles.

We purchased the Garmin for a trip to Ireland and downloaded the Ireland maps. We used it everyday to drive across the country and visit multiple sites. The only difficulty we had was incomplete addresses from our Bed& Breakfast stays, etc. Addresses don't seem to be as complete as in the U.S. and the one that gave GPS coordinates didn't match. But, we would set the directions to our destination city and then use our written directions or stop and ask directions once we arrived. It kept us on the road and gave us good routes to our destinations. One recommendation is to make sure that U-turn setting allows U-turns. We found ourselves on a few paved "sheep paths" because I made a wrong turn and the directions didn't just turn us around.

This Garmin product has been my favorite company recently. I used this GPS during my road trip and have been still using it everyday while driving in my new town. All the features work properly and easy to use.

I love this GPS! I bought my own after I used my dads! I gave it 4/5 though because I wish it had it's own time alongside the arrival time because my time on my car is a little off.

I just moved to SD from Rochester NY and found driving so much more difficult because multiple lanes at most exits. I have an old garmin and often miss correct lanes. This GPS is much better, with intended lanes clearly marked and I now rarely miss my directions.

I bought this for my daughter who just turned 17, and is now driving. I know you can get this on a cell phone now, but I wanted her to be a safe driver. I have a nuvi 40 and it works great. Garmin is top in the industry and Best Buy is the best place to buy anything

This Garmin replaced one that we received as a gift in 2009! Yes, it lasted that long and was still giving great directions until we could no longer update it. We loved the old one and this one is even better!
