Have been using it everyday in my business vehicle. Never an issue with the unit since we purchased it.

The lifetime updates simply add great value to this easy to use tool. The ability to find those out of the way places where businesses are located, where grandkids have activities, and where restaurants are hidden -- not to mention special beach or mountain getaways -- makes this tool a must for modern day living.

The screen is easy to read, offers various options. The narrator is easily understood.

Easy to install , great clear screen and easy to follow

I bought my first Garmin in 2011, so I've had it for 6 years. It's been great but lately, it been indicating that the battery is low. I've tried to recharge it but it always reads "low battery". I thought I could replace the battery, but you can't. I finally purchased a new Garmin. It works great.

Bought this for my daughters birthday .. so easy to order online and picked up in the store! Very user friendly :)

I was relocating to a new state and needed a good buy cheap GPS. After doing some research I decided to go with this garmin. I was pleasantly surprised with its performance. It was easy to setup and use and the free life time map updates makes it a no brainer. I would definitely recommend this unit.

For a non tech person, I got this down pretty well. It is easy to use and gets the job done. I really like it.

So glad we got this Garmin to use in travel. Our next out of state trip will be much easier. Won`t have to record the map.

Easy to use and directions have been accurate so far. Bought this for my wife and she loves it. Helps me not to have to write down directions for her as well. Plan to use it on long road trip this summer where cell access might be spotty. Only wish it had an external volume control, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars.

Bought this to replace an older Garmin that finally got fried from the hot Florida sun and being in a black car all of the time. (If you want these things to last I do not recommend leaving it in the direct sun on the windshield in a parked car during the day.) I put the 57LM on a 600 mile test run and this is what I found: Satellite Acquisition is fast, under 10 Seconds, Route Calculations/ Recalculations is fast. So far, the Maps are pretty accurate and most of the "Up Ahead"/ Foursquare features. The Turn by Turn/ Garmin Real Directions are bang on as is the Lane assist and Junction View. The Destinations were spot on but a couple of the routings were not what I would have picked, but I had three options, Fast, Shortest or my way and the Unit would just recalculate. If I didn't know the area, the Unit would have got me there anyway. The Unit was easy to set up and the Menus were easy to navigate. I Recommend the Garmin - Nüvi 57lm 5 Gps With Lifetime Map Updates for people that can live without the voice command and do not mind manually entering your destinations.

We went on a cross country trip and the unit definitely helped us out. It really helped with the over 7,000 miles we drove!

purchased as a replacement for an older Garmin. Cheaper to buy a new unit with lifetime map updates rather than pay for an updated map on my old unit. new unit has additional features like school zone alerts. Purchased when on sale and saved a few bucks and still received free shipping.

Works well. A little different from my older one but once I got used to it I like it very much!

We use the GPS for our semi truck that runs a residential route. Our older GPS was not as updateable. This fits the bill.

The sale rep was very helpful. Assisted me in selecting a GPS that fit my needs and was on sale. I used it on may vacation and it works great. It is easy to use and very accurate. The only drawback is the time it takes to download updated maps. It took better than 2hrs to update the maps.

We have another Garmin GPS that is a few years old. Gave it to our son when he left for college and bought an upgrade! This new model has great graphics and easy to understand directions. Very easy to use!! Highly recommend!!!
