Bought my vivosmart and couple months ago because of fact I can see phone calls, texts , and emails with my phone in my hand. Easy way to screen calls and see if it needs immediate attention. Why it didn't get 5 stars is because I don't think it tracks steps accurately I was sitting for over a hour and it said I had reach my goal... While in a chair at work...

It would have been 5 stars if not for the bluetooth issue, it will reconnect either by rebooting the phone or tapping the bt connection on the band. The good... This is so far the only fitness band that can get text and email notification so that's a big plus to me, water resistant too.

I have enjoyed using this device to motivate myself to stay active during the day and to counteract my food calories with the activity burned calories. Tracks activities (runs) and daily step totals. Has a motivational bar to tell you to "move" after you've been inactive too long during the day (1 hour, then 15 minute increments). Tracks sleep cycle movement (have to hit the button before going to bed, but can adjust the time through Garmin website/app later if you didn't fall asleep right away). Connects to MyFitnessPal website/smartphone app to integrate activity calories burned with food calories consumed. It is light weight and unobtrusive even when dressed for work. The wake-up vibration alarm is enough to wake me. Gets notifications from your smartphone (emails and texts) but the screen is pretty small to read all those, and you can't remove the notification (even if you read it on the vivosmart) without accessing it from the phone. Would even be competitive with the lower end running watches if it had GPS.

This is a great device for people that want to stay connected but cant. I use this to read texts when I cant use my phone. The tracking features are great. The only downside is that the band can come lose and the watch can fall of if not careful.

This was a replacement tracker for the useless Fitbit I returned!! This is way better!! Everything it says it would do and the website and setup is working great !!! The only thing that's keeping it from a 5 star rating is the battery life of 7 days!! The vivofit battery lasts a year before replacement so why can't farming make the same battery for the vivosmart ? All in all it tolerable and better than other trackers That are overpriced !!!

Great battery life and very comfortable. Easy to connect to phone and track workouts on the mobil app.

I already had vivosmart for myself. Got one for my wife and mom for Mother's Day. We all love it. My wife had Fitbit hr. She likes her vivosmart much better. The screen is bigger. Shows texts and who's calling. Fitbit would just say 1 text or 1 call. You can actually read the text on vivosmart. Battery lasts longer than Fitbit. Also waterproof/resistant (shower with it on). Garmin app is great too. Nice to track sleep patterns.

My wife loves her new Vivosmart. She says it small enough to be comfortable and the screen is large enough to be easily read. Her favorite feature is the paring with her smartphone. Best-Buy also matched a competitors advertised price.

This product is one of the better pedometer on the market. The only things I can think of to make it better would be an accurate account of sleep patterns and a built in heart monitor

I really like this activity tracker. It uses Bluetooth to alert you to calls and texts, syncs automatically to the connect app which gives you many tracking options. Very nice activity tracker with good battery life between charges.

Not cumbersome, relatively easy to set up, like being able to get notifications from my phone.

Love all the features.. Only negative is getting it to sync on demand with other programs.

Living in Hawaii, I need waterproof. I have jumped into the ocean and taken many a shower with this on. We returned our fitbits to get these and am so glad we did. I do wish the battery life was longer, but love everything else.

I purchased this tracker after returning from vacation. I went into the store with intent on buying Fit Bit but the sales associate convinced me that this was a better buy and fit for me. I must say I am very happy with my purchase and highly recommend it for anyone that is trying to get active and want to track what they do. Try it you will be surprised as to the motivation you will get to keep moving.

I love this fitness tracker. It sets a goal for me everyday or I can st my own. Fits comfortable to wear all the time. The only downside is the app isn't as good as another I've seen and doesn't link with all apps but I see that Garmin does make occasional software updates so I suppose these could be modified in the future.

The concept of the Vivosmart is excellent! Not only does it function as a fitness and sleep monitor, but it notifies its user of incoming calls/texts/etc. with a simple vibration. Unfortunately, the screen does not show well in the sunlight, and the Bluetooth on my Vivosmart stopped working after a couple months. I went online and followed Garmin's instructions to correct the problem, thought I fixed the problem, but it quit again after 5 minutes. I took the band back and exchanged it for another Vivosmart, and had the same problem after a few months (if you're wandering, I checked to make sure the Bluetooth on my phone was operating properly, and it was). I was very disappointed -- it was an excellent concept!

Great band overall. I don't like the app update but the band itself it's awesome

I bought this for my wife as she sits at a computer all day and this was the only band that would vibrate to remind her to stand. It does a good job of that but periodically will lose connection with her phone and the step count seems to be off a bit as well. Hopefully this is just a learning curve and not a defect. It might possibly need a software update. Overall I would still recommend it.

Got this on sale for 50% off, so well worth the money. Screen is a little hard to read long texts, but overall does a good job of tracking sleep and steps. The app has been improved and doesn't disconnect near as much as I have read in other reviews.
