Posted .Thank you for your feedback! I’m sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with our vívofit and vívosmart watches. The materials used in these watches are identical to the materials in our other watch products and have proven to be suitable for skin contact through years of testing. Still, individuals with more sensitive skin can develop an issue if the band is worn too tightly, which may cause abrasion, and/or if the band is not kept clean and dry. With that said, I would recommend the following if a skin irritation occurs:
- Dry the device and skin after exposure to water or sweat.
- Ensure that soap is thoroughly rinsed from the skin and the device when showering.
- Keep the skin in the area clean and dry.
- Loosen the device to allow air to circulate and dry the skin.
- Discontinue use of the device temporarily, or move it to the other wrist.
I apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused, as it isn’t a regular occurrence. We definitely appreciate your input, though. Thank you! (KS)

Very Disappointing Bluetooth Connectivity
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When it FINALLY connects to my phone, only stays a short while. Very cumbersome & difficult to re-connect; haven't been able to connect it since yesterday, and have tried dozens of times. Consequently cannot use the app. Not worth money. Going to exchange for Vivofit 2.

Posted .Thank you for writing your review. I'm sorry to hear about the Bluetooth issues that you're experiencing with your vívosmart. It’s important to know that the vívosmart is a BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy)-enabled device, and that it’s not uncommon for the connection to break after syncing successfully. That being said, it’s not common for it to be difficult to re-establish the connection as you described in your review. This FAQ lists troubleshooting suggestions for instances like these with the Garmin Connect Mobile Android app: http://bit.ly/1N69fpR. If these connection issues persist after troubleshooting is attempted, or if you’re using a non-Android phone, please contact Garmin Customer Care for additional assistance: http://j.mp/GRMNSupport. Thank you! (KS)
Edit: Thank you for your commenting on your review and letting us know which device you're connecting to. Please ensure that your iPad is listed on our Apple Device Compatibility List, found here: http://static.garmincdn.com/gcm/BLE_Apple.pdf. Thank you! (KS)

Nice when it worked.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really loved this when it worked. I have had it for two months almost and it quit working today. The LED started to fade last week and that should have been a sign. I charged it but nothing. No screen, no syncing with my phone. I will be looking for the receipt to return to Best Buy and get something different unless Garmin will trade this one for a new one.

Screen Display Problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've have the VivoSmart 10 months now, overall I like the way it works. I own two (one for me and one for the wife) The only major problem I'm having is that the display pixels begin to burn out after a while. We both had to get our originally purchased VivoSmarts replaced under manufacture warranty after 8 months because the screen pixels began to burn out on both bands. They sent us replacements and now after 2 months my band is starting to lose display pixels again.

Display Problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have a love/hate relation to the vivosmart. I love it because when everything works it's one the best activity tracker around. Unfortunately, it has a display problem. That's why I hate it. So much potential and yet eventually disappoints. Have used 3 the past year and getting another one thru warranty next month. In all those times I've used it, have had problems with dead pixels in the display. First one lasted 2 weeks until the problem showed up. Luckily it was still under Bestbuy return policy. Second one lasted a little bit over a month. Went through Garmin warranty and got a replacement. Third one lasted 3 months and having warranty work on it right now. Hopefully the next one I get, Garmin will do this activity tracker justice and finally fix the problem.

Broke within 3 weeks stay away
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the vivosmart in order to track my steps for a healthy initiative at work. I had the product for 3 weeks and the display went out on it. Not just the bottom half but the entire display is unreadable. The product is supposed to be water resistant. I had worn it in the heat while exercising and showered with it on and at the end of the day noticed it would not light up. I charged it & the display was unreadable, flickering on and off. I googled defects and appears that there are many others who have had similar issues. I would stay away from this product. Garmin is willing to send me a replacement/refurbished product but by the time I get it back the walking challenge will be over.

Mileage is way off.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the vivosmart on Friday. Saturday I ran a 5k and it said I only went 1.8miles. Sunday I walked a route I know is 2.8miles and it said I only went 1.6m. The other features seem to work properly but the mileage is way off. I'm only 5'6" so I doubt my stride is that far off from the default.
