I bought this Fitness tracker because my previous Fitbit died the day it got wet in the rain. I work outside and so obviously needed something a little sturdier. This Garmin can even be worn in the shower!

I've had a Misfit and a Fitbit but this Vivosmart HR takes the cake! Despite it being a better unit I still think it has room for improvement...Although the band is worn securely and feels good it's still too bulky. Not as bulky as the Fitbit Surge but bulky enough to remind me often that it's there...I honestly thought I'd be using the Heart Rate monitoring but I could really care less...The novelty wore off quickly...So I would rather lose the HR monitoring and get something slimmer. Where this thing does shine is the notifications...I do love having the ability to check my email messages and texts and read them in their entirety!! Also you can see and feel your incoming calls and I am even able to answer my phone by clicking on it...Which was wild...That's a plus. The app is ok but if you want to connect with others then you are better off with a Fitbit. The other area where Fitbit wins is in integration....If you want to integrate your tracker with other apps or home automation then Fitbit is a better choice...Currently there is no IFTTTT support for Garmin Bummer...Overall I am happy but I already know what I want from the next tracker I will purchase.

It's fairly accurate in measuring steps. Stair/floor counts are about 80% accurate. The HR monitor gets good resting HR measurements, but has scattered results when engaged in activities. The only thing I found as a disadvantage is the inability to synch without an Internet connection. The phone finder, ability to control music and notifications are a plus to me. Although the move reminder buzzer was sometimes not significant enough for me to notice. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase.

Works great, pretty accurate step count and floor count. Having had a Vivofit2 previously, I really like the heart rate monitor on this unit. I wish it had a longer battery life and a standard microUSB charging port.

I night this fitness monitor after reading many reviews so far I like it very much the heart rate seems to be quite accurate which is one of the reasons I purchased this model .i would recommend this over the Fitbit

The Vivosmart is perfect for tracking my activity throughout the day. It is just what I was looking for to take the place of carrying my smart phone with me while I am working outside in the yard.

I upgraded to this from Vivosmart. My device's battery life is about five days and it charges fairly quickly. It does a good job of notifying me of phone calls, texts, and e-mail until the charge is weak. I don't have major complaints other than the HR sensor not reading over the layer of sweat on my wrist and randomly playing music on my phone.

Garmin actuall made a excellent band for people who don't want an smart watch but want a stylish band which can measure heart rate and show notifications. I like this better than Fitbit .

Took with me in a cardio stress test. Never more than 2 bpm off what their equipment showed. Had the top selling brand on other wrist, that one was as much as 20 bpm off. Would like gps, maybe in the future?

Great product, but luckily I bought the Geek Squad extended warranty. The wristband just broke - just like that- so I have to replace the product this week for a new one. The wristband although good that it can flex, obviously has it's limits (lasts about a year)- and I didn't even use it aggressively. Other than wristband- product is awesome! Love it, easy to use, you can swim with it. PERFECT, and it would have gotten the 5-star if it weren't for the wristband!

The tracker is great for keeping me moving. The vibration is just enough to get my attention without startling me when I've been inactive for too long. Heart monitor is close..within 5 either way which is really good for a wrist band monitor. Battery life lasts about a week before needing charged..overall, a good buy.

I love my Garmin. It alerts me when I have a message, phone calls and emails. It is great for heart rate and sleep. I used it to show my Dr. my heart rate for over a month. Great product and it tells my my steps also.

I had this device for almost an year. Works very well for the functions it supposed to do. I like the battery life for daily use. It is almost a week and can be charged full within an hour

I did a lot of research before buying. I own the Jawbone UP move which I highly recommend also. But the Garmin has heart rate, stairs, notifications , weather and the move alert. It was ranked #1 by several fitness sites. I use it everyday and it will recharge in 40 minutes and last about 4-5 days. This device will make you want to walk more. It pushes you to reach your goal.

I love the Vivosmart HR. I had a Fitbit Charge HR, which worked well but kept breaking. The Vivosmart HR is very sturdy, very well-made and works very well. It even works underwater so I can wear it swimming! Very accurate counting steps, flights of stairs, and calories. I loved it so much, I got one for my mom and she loves it too.

The Vivosmart HR is a great device. It took some getting used to wearing it up my arm some but its worth it. Works well and provides good information. App takes some getting used to, but also good.

This Vivosmart HR is replacing my Vivosmart 2. Love the features as it looks like they have caught up to my Fitbit friends with the bonus of wearing it in the shower and pool. Where it needs major improvement is its not real comfortable to wear. I would also like to see the face in a lower profile as it gets hung up when I put on my shirt or jacket. I also feel the heart rate monitor is unreliable. Sometimes it's spot on and other times I'm like you have to be kidding me. Garmin still needs to improve the app to catch Fitbit. But Garmain is still a superior product.

Tried the Fitbit Charge HR for a week, HR monitor was sticking. Switched to the Garmin and have yet to have a problem plus the Garmin does so much more than the Fitbit and is waterproof for swimming, showers etc.

Alright so I did a ton of research. Hours upon hours. I finally settled my choices and did the legwork to see which fitness tracker was gonna suite my girlfriends needs. She can do anything wearing this so that was what sold me. But I was still highly skeptical after reading reviews. Yes it does have trouble for the first week or so syncing. Luckily that has cleared up. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because it's just not user friendly. You have to really read the manual on this one. Plus the vibration on the watch upsets our dogs. Thought it was just them being weird and it happened to my parents dog as well. My advice, read the manual. Learn every function and you should be okay.

Bought this for my husband for christmas. He has a pretty big wrist so I was scared it wouldn't fit but turns out it was perfect he loves it and it really helps him track his sleep and movement.
