Product performs adequately, does have some issues accurately recording steps and other activities. Program presumes some actions generate a specific movement which is not necessarily correct. Acceptable for monitoring generally but not for hard core athletics.

This watch is very convenient, efficient and reliable. I swim with him every morning and continue to wear it even when I run, work and sleep. The information he provides me helps me to stay healthy. The communication with my cellphone is very good, which greatly optimizes my life.

I loved the Garmin vivosmart HR until someone at Garmin decided it was a good idea to reduce the vibration alert intensity for the MOVE function. Now when the device prompts me to move, I don't feel any vibration and most times miss the reminder. Garmin - come on, fix this. There's whole forum feed on your (Garmin's website) of people complaining and asking who's bright idea it was to partially ruin a terrific product. To be honest - I would not recommend this device until Garmin fixes this dumb mistake.

I love the fact that it's waterproof and easy to use.

We liked this so much, we went back to get my husband one. Best wearable tech we have ever used. Like the band and the functions.

Love this tracker! Received it as a gift from my daughter who lives in Australia. She has an identical one and we frequently compare goals. I have used it every day since I got it last July 2018. Keeping track of my steps, distance and heart rate has become second nature to me I believe I am healthier because of it.

Like the numerous activities that this device tracks ease of use was also a plus , the only reason it did not receive a five star was battery life I charge it and the next day the battery shows it being at half life

I Have enjoyed it very much. Other than the band is not long enough (Best Buy did not carry the large) its great. Still better than the FitBit.

I was happy with the original fit-bit, but it was fading out. As the new HR modle has to be pluged in to recharge, I often forget to put it on in the morning. The print is small and hard to read.

I read hundreds of comparisons, reviews, and tech articles before heading to Best Buy for an activity / health tracker. Heart rate, running distances, & sleep monitoring were my "needs". I had narrowed my choices to Garmin Vivosmart HR, Microsoft Band 2, & Jawbone UP3. Hubby immediately talked me out of the Jawbone for the lack of display. When running, pulling my phone out of my running belt to check my heart rate would be awkward at best & the death of my phone at worst. Good point, instantly narrowed to the 2 with displays. Cranky kids were quickly getting crankier so we bought both. I loved the look & fit of the Garmin plus it had all the features I wanted and several other nifty tricks but that's where my love story ends. I really wanted it to last forever but it just wasn't meant to be. The Garmin was not easy to pair & configure with my Note 3 (though on paper, they are compatible). Eventually I got it to work & started testing it out. It didn't take long to realize new text alerts were displaying but I couldn't read them (not by design - was not functioning properly). Hubby & I are both in IT so we're no strangers to figuring out how to make geek-stuff work. We fiddled with various settings for about 30 minutes & in that time, we were prompted to verify security the pin & re-pair my phone no less than 5 times. The brightness never got bright enough for my old, tired eyes to clearly see without squinting... not even inside a dark room. Meanwhile, on my other wrist was the Microsoft Band 2. The Band paired in about 60 seconds flat without blinking an eye. It worked flawlessly without any tweaking any settings, the display was clear, bright & easy to read under bright & dark conditions, and it never dropped the connection to my phone. Not even once. The Band 2 was less *cute* & slightly more bulky but the Garmin went back into the box & back to the store. We exchanged the Garmin for another Microsoft Band 2 to upgrade the hubby's old Samsung Gear.

Garmin makes a great product. I also have a Garmin GPS. Their products are superior and I have never had a complaint about them.

Great activity tracker with HR for those that are stepping up training and monitor HR. The band is comfortable but I have larger wrist so make sure you get the XL.

This review is from my wife who received this as a Mother's Day gift. She loves it. According to her the features are quick learning and easy to use. She says it helps her keep track of her daily fitness with ease.

My wife bought this so that I could have her fitbit and now I want this one. It does so much more than the fitbit does and looks better too.
