The main reason I got a this tracker is so I can get notifications like texts and phone calls. I've tried others and they just don't compare to this one. The display is always on and is easy to read in sunlight, it also has a backlight so you can see it in the dark. It's easy to set up and has a nice app for your phone.

Bought one each for my parents so they have a heart rate monitor and they seem to like them so far. They will be setting up a Geek Squad appointment to learn more about how to use all the features.

I am very happy with this purchase. It has a bar that tells you when you should get up and move and then you need to move a certain amt to make it disappear, which is helpful for me at my desk job! I think it is pretty accurate - I don't have a chest strap to compare it to, but from all the online research I did, this is a pretty good product!

This is a great fitness tracker however there is a problem with the band. #1 you can't replace it. #2 the loop that holds down the excess strap breaks within a year. We've had two of these and experienced the problem with both. Moved on to a Fitbit.

I bought it to check my sleeping pattern. Pretty exact on the time I went to sleep and the number of times I woke up. I don't think the heart rate is accurate in that I can use my stethoscope and it's off a little

I still need to learn all the ways this device can be used, but I really like the ability to track all the data. It does not appear to let you download all the data you see on your phone to a computer in the sleep mode. I can see the time I went to sleep and the number of hours of deep sleep vs light sleep, but I'd like to download and see if there is a correlation between how late I stay up and how much deep sleep I get. Thus far, I've only figured out how to download overall data. As others have mentioned, it does not count stairs climbed accurately. I can walk up and not see it count and then go to an office building and take the elevator and it shows flights climbed. I'm not sure if it is editable to correct the incorrect data.

Got this for my father in law couple years ago for Christmas gift, and he is still wearing happily everyday with no issues

Love the device, phone app could be more user friendly.

I bought matching fitness trackers for my wife and I. We linked these up to Myfitnesspal and we have been consistently tracking our calories and working out! This tracker offers great bang for the buck and stays charged for 4 or 5 days. I would highly recommend it to fitness tracker beginners and experts alike!

When I bought the product it was too big it didn’t touch my skin and couldn’t register my heart rate, daily activity, etc.

I have both a fitbit and this Garmin activity tracker. I enjoy the features of the Garmin becuase I can receive full text messages on my wrist verse a small portion of the message. Glad its water proof too.

I had 3 Fitbits and a Microsoft band before I got a Garmin...the Fitbit kept delaminating from the electronics and had to replace...the Microsoft band was. Ice, but the band broke one month in. Got the Garmin and after a year it looks brand new, and is completely waterproof unlike the others. Bought this for my wife who loves hers as well!

I love the Garmin vivosmart HR (replaced my fitbit Charge HR) with one BIG exception - the vivosmart HR is a water safe but DOES NOT track steps when used in the pool! I found all of the functions of the vivosmart HR were okay but I purchased the vivosmart HR so I could track the steps in the pool. I thought I had received a defective tracker so I called Garmin support and was told the tracker "turns off the counter" while in the water. VERY DISAPPOINTED with this feature! Do not purchase this vivosmart HR if the main reason is to track steps in the pool, otherwise the tracker works okay.

Wife bought the "water resistant" Fitbit HR, which died the first time she accidentally left it on in the shower. This does everything the Fitbit HR does, but also waterproof to 5 meters!

After reading several reviews i purchased my Garmin - Vivosmart HR Activity Tracker + Heart Rate. I am some what pleased with the device at this time tracking the areas it is designed to. The pairing with MyFitnessPal app. tracking my nutritional daily values is very helpful. It is very comfortable to wear and has about a three day battery life.

It is a good fitness tracker if that is all you need.
