Bought this for my wife so she can track her activity while at work and during her workouts. She absolutely loves it! Easy to read, pairs quickly with your iPhone, you can view messages and see who is calling without having your phone near by. The APP keeps all pertinent data on her daily activity and pushes her to max her goals.

This is great and stylish looks good keeps great track of my steps and I can check text messages the sync to the phone is great

I purchased two of these devices based on several great reviews. It gives a general idea of your heart rate and daily steps. Along, with all the great features I was not disappointed with my purchase.

Step counter, flights climbed, heart rate, and sleep tracking all appear pretty accurate. Nice display with option for orientation. Band is very comfortable, but HR monitor makes for a bulky profile.

The first problem for me was the size of the Tracker! It did not feel like a large size wristband. I have a 7+ inch wrist and the band was close to 3 notches left. It was not comfortable. The screen is not color but looks like old PC screen. I did not even take the tracker for a test run because the initial disappointment of handling the tracker in person was so disappointing I just returned the tracker and waited for a sale of the FitBit Blaze,

Easy to read screen. Heart rate works good on inner side of wrist. Been comfortable for all day wear. Battery charge about 5 days as advertised. Have to get the weather app synced and it will be good.

Compared to Equivalent competitive models this had few nice bells and whistles like showing full text msg instead of just a msg headline, also whatsapp msgs, plus water proof to a decent extent

Everything I wanted Farmin to don they did it. Short of being a James Bond watch. This watch does exactly what I need it to do.

I bought this watch for my daughter for Christmas. She wanted to monitor her footsteps and HR. She seemed to like it. I got it for a nice price. I will buy this again if for the right price.

I haven't used all of the functions yet, but I'm trying to fit it into my daily routine. A goal oriented function is rewarding when you meet it. Then do a little more!! Best thing better than any other that I looked at is that it's waterproof!! If not, I'd be taking it on and off, leaving it behind and getting bad daily data.

Its waterproof and small. Accurate. I love it. Happy

Using the tracker as a helpful tool keeps me on track. Love the app and find my phone function (as I'm always misplacing it).

This is the class leading product. I view the Garmin Vivosmart HR as a direct competitor to the Fitbit Charge HR. It is a smart activity tracker with optical HR. It also serves as a watch and a simple notification screen to avoid needing to looking at the 80's super computer we carry in our pockets (smart phone). My wife and daughter both have the Fitbit Charge HR, so I had the opportunity to test both products. The Garmin Vivosmart HR is superior in a variety of ways. Heart Rate - There are two modes - activity mode and every day mode. The Heart Rate is accurate when it is in activity mode. I have done several cycling rides and compared the heart rate with a heart rate strap - and it was almost equal. In contrast the Fitbit - was not accurate when the heart varied. The second mode, the all day mode, is designed to test your heart every so often, the more activity it detects the more frequent it will test. This was accurate enough for me. FWIW it uses three Leds instead of two on other devices. Battery - Since it tests the heart rate every 1-20 minutes depending on activity the battery lasts 3-5 days. In contrast to the Fitbit HRs we have, which need to be charged everyday. Messages - I find this quite helpful - instead of having to pull the phone out my pocket or reach for it. I can sit in a meeting and see I got message (or a call), or reminder to finish the meeting. The vibration seemed just right for me, enough so I can feel it but quiet enough that others can't hear it (unless they are dead silent). The vibration was strong enough so that I would feel it while cycling hard. With an IPhone it will push notifications to the phone for those apps that you set up to receive messages on the IPhone - using the standard iOS. Screen Size - The screen is good for what it is designed to do - much more usable than the Fitbit, in size and with touchscreen. But small enough so it fits on the wrist. With that said - it can't display a whole txt message with scrolling through it, but the first line or two are typically enough (in relatively small font). Heart Rate Broadcast - This is more for cyclists, runners, triathletes etc... The VSMHR will broadcast the heart rate in ANT+ mode to other ANT+ devices - for example a Garmin 510 Cycling computer. So you can wear it all day and during workout pair it with your more advanced athletic tracker. The Garmin software is good and improving – sometimes a bit awkward, make sure you get the most recent update for the device. After looking at some other reviews some other comments: - This is an activity tracker – not a $450 fitness watch – but it does offer 24/7 heart rate tracking - In order to get good HR response, you need to use the workout mode - The wrist strap needs to be snug to get good HR readings - Don’t expect the accelerometer to detect the difference in activities – it can not tell the difference between walking, cycling, bowling, skiing or swimming – it is not currently designed to do so. - All the activity trackers approximate your calorie usage, by tracking your heart rate and movement – You naturally use calories while you sleep, and much more during exercise – the longer and higher you heart rate – the more. These are approximations – don’t base your sugar intake based on these approximations - You enter your typical sleep time once – as long as you go to sleep during that 6-8 hour window it tracks your sleep - This does not have GPS built in (it is only $150) - This is not the right activity tracker if you need precise heart rate updates on a minute by minute basis 24 hours a day (for health reasons)

Love Garmin. This watch takes a while to get your correct heart rate though. And needs to be charged every 3 to 4 days. Waterproof is great but i wish it showed zones instead of only heart rate

So far it has performed well for me, many usable features. Gives good feedback for goals set. Visual feedback for when you have been sitting too long is nice. It let's you know when to "get going" when you have been inactive for an extended period of time with a message on the screen and vibration. Syncing it with your computer and phone ap is a nice feature as well. It also give's you feedback in graphs and helps you see your progress. I have never used another fitness monitor so I don't have anything to compare to but I would recomend the Vivosmart HR. It is comfortable on my wrist and and is appealing to the eye. Make sure you check your wrist size and get the right size band.

My wife bought this for me to help me lose weight by keeping track of my steps. I was skeptical at first, however since I bought it I have been pushing myself to do more steps and have actually lost 25 pounds so fat. I also like the fact that you can buy some amazing replacement bands online to customize the look of it.

Love it! I purchased this after trying and returning a Fitbit. I feel the Vivosmart HR is much more accurate and the display is easier to read.

Wife loved hers so I had to buy me one. Love this tracker. It is water proof. You just have to take it off to dry it. So most times I take it off before I take a shower. Nice to know if I forget it will not be ruined by the shower unlike other trackers. Would by other if anything ever happened to mine or the wifes.

Heart rate monitoring is easy and accurate. Sleep monitor is only somewhat accurate (doesn't seem to be able to tell if you woke up or not). It's a pretty large watch on my wife's small wrist.

Sleep monitor and good exercise monitor. Also does great job with tracking pulse.
