I like this much better than the Fitbit. I'm able to get this wet so I don't have to worry every time I'm near water. Also it seems to count the steps more accurately than the Fitbit did.

This is a very nice fitness tracker, easy to access on my phone, nice scrolling display, didn't really need any instructions. Very fast to charge it up, just a few minutes. I enjoy that it is waterproof and don't have worry about it getting wet. I would buy it again, especially being a budget friendly device.

This fitness tracker worked great until now, it stopped syncing. The watch itself does everything it’s supposed to, it just doesn’t sync the info to the app.

I have been thoroughly enjoying my new Garmin Vivo Heart Rate and Activity tracker. The free Garmin app synced to my phone is very handy for me to track my daily and weekly stats and results. The battery life is also good and typically goes for about 3 full days before needing another charge. A real Good buy overall!!!

I have never had an activity tracker before and couldn't pass this up for $70. Other than there being rather poor set up, and overall instructions by Garmin, this little unit works great. It is amazing to an old man like me all the information and feedback you get from this little thing. Great battery life too.

This is an activity tracker with buzzing and noise to keep you motivated to keep moving and it has done just that since I started wearing it I have lost 20 pounds and stay motivated to keep moving in a forward direction. The greatest thing about this is I haven't even used all the options.

I've been searching for a tracker that also tracks the heart rate. I was so happy when I purchased it but was quickly disappointed when I put it on. It was a little too bulky for my liking.

She loves her Garmin Activity Tracker. We checked into the Fit Bit, but she liked the Garmin better. She wanted something Water Proof and this seemed like the best bet, the Fit Bit only said Splash Proof, where the Garmin did say Water Proof even though I don't think I would wear it swimming or anything like that.

Disappointed. Rubber is uncomfortable tactile, the sensor presses into wrist bones or bangs into everything if worn on bottom of wrist. Does not register steps well when holding on to treadmill or eliptical. Wear on ankle during workouts but tight. No replacement strap available yet. Must choose between "Workout mode" or step counter. Connection drops out daily. PITA. Wish I had gone Fitbit. Next will be. Recommend? Not on my life. Big, bulky, heavy & hot. To their credit, the device makes me increase activity and love the reminder to "Move!" LOL

Thank you for your feedback and review.

For information on proper placement of the vívosmart HR, please visit the following FAQ article: http://bit.ly/1N7Bvdt

Some activities may not register steps, as the vívosmart HR does not have GPS capabilities and uses a built-in accelerometer to measure steps instead. Because of the lack of wrist movement when holding onto an elliptical or treadmill, this can cause the vívosmart HR to under record. Please visit the following FAQ article for more information: http://bit.ly/1vHEFYc

If having issues with connectivity, we recommend ensuring that your phone is listed as compatible with the vívosmart HR:  http://garmin.com/ble

If listed as compatible and problems persist, or if you have any other questions, please contact Garmin Customer Care for additional troubleshooting steps:  http://www.garmin.com/support

I researched multiple Fitness Trackers before deciding on the Garmin Vivosmart HR. It has exceeded my expectations in all but one area - the HR monitor. It is very accurate when I have it in activity mode and am doing cardio but when I take it out of that mode to finish my gym workout with weights it is very inaccurate. I have tried all the trouble-shooting of switching wrists, drying my skin, moving the tracker up and down on my arms, tightening and loosening it....nothing seems to help. Other times when I am at work it is very accurate. Just needs some work to improve the HR accuracy. Overall though I think its a great product and would definitely recommend it.

Thank you for your five-star review! Although we’re happy to hear that you like your watch, we’d like to take a moment to address your battery concerns. The rechargeable battery in vivosmart HR can last up to 5 days on a single charge. Various factors including backlight, frequency of smart notifications, and wrist-based heart rate monitoring can shorten battery life in between charges. Please refer to the Owner’s Manual for tips on how to maximize battery life: http://bit.ly/1NTMCJC. If you have any additional questions or comments, please visit j.mp/GRMNSupport to contact Garmin Customer Care for assistance. Again, thank you so much for providing us with your feedback. Purchased the Vivosmart activity tracker after my vivofit died. I was hesitant to buy another Garmin, but after looking and deciding between this and the similar Fitbit, I feel I made the right choice. Tracks everything, including sleep and heart rate, plus shows messages, phone calls, and email. Love this watch!

Excellent product. Heart rate accuracy off at times when not tight around the wrist. The hr sensor sticks out underneath from the watch. Not a bother for me though. Its sleek. Vibration is strong. Good connectivity to the phone via bluetooth. Waterproof is a relief when working out or getting caught in the rain.

    Garbage HR reading

If you are buying this for a step counter then it works great. If you are buying this to get HR readings during a workout then forget it. I wanted this for HR reading during workouts to tell if I am in the correct range. I have been using this for a little over two weeks and it never reads correctly. I do fairly intense 30-45 minute workouts 6 days a week. I take my HR manually during the workouts and it is in the 150 range but the tracker reads 80-90. This incorrect HR reading also translates into incorrect intensity minutes and calories burned. I contacted Garmin twice and both times I got a generic email back that was no help. If you want a step counter go with something cheaper, if you want this to train in the correct HR range get something with a chest strap.

I am really enjoying my Garmin Vivosmart HR. It has more features than I realized and my favorite is Move IQ. It will determine your current activity and log it separate from steps. The floors climbed and decended has been very accurate. I had another brand but this Garmin HR is the best!
