Nice sized viewing screen, very easy to read and access all the extra perks that are available. Wish it kept a charge longer, that would be the only thing that could make it better.

The main reason that I wanted the Garmin was for the continuous heart rate monitoring so that my daily calories were more accurately calculated. The heart rate works intermittently and inaccurately which is my biggest issue and disappointment with this product. Garmin needs to do whatever is necessary to fix this issue, otherwise they're going to be in the same mess as is Fitbit.

The optical heart rate sensor on the vívosmart HR uses light to penetrate the skin and estimate your heart rate. To ensure that you’re getting the best heart rate accuracy, please follow these guidelines:
- Ensure that your wrist is clean and dry.
- Ensure that the watch is snug fit.
- Wear the watch on the outside of your wrist, away from your wrist bone.
- Avoid wearing the watch over dark tattoos.
- Ensure the green lights on the watch are functioning.
Keeping the device software up to date is important as well, as updates are released periodically to improve the watch’s functionality. Software updates can be done through Garmin Express, which can be downloaded here: j.mp/GRMNXP.

Unfortunately the light was too dim for me and it was too difficult for me to read. I was never able to learn of a way to increase the brightmess and had to pass on it.

Says I climbed several stairs when there were none for that day. Heart rate number seems a little odd at time depending on activity.
