Adjust your expectations - if you’re used to a vented dryer that dessicates every load and you come unglued by a bit of residual moisture, then, no, you’re not going to be pleased. If you do back to back loads for several people on the weekend, this also isn’t going to be the most efficient system. However, if you want a machine that doesn’t take up a huge amount of space and you’re the type who frequently forgets to move the wash to the dryer (ewwww, mildew!), this machine is a gem. It can be set to continue tumbling for several hours to prevent wrinkling, so you can delay start it before bed and have your clothes ready the next morning.
Yes, there's some *very* slight moisture remaining at the end of the dry cycle, but it dissipates in the time it takes for you to fold/hang everything. It’s really NBD.

Before you use that s washer dryer ckmbo, dont forget to remove the 4 transport screws and rubber grommets page 20 of the insyructions. Pro's - I never have to go to the laundry mat again. I can put in a load of laundry before bed, and it washes and drys the clothes before I wake up. Its a lot quiter than most other washers and dryers Ive owned. It has a really small footprint, but gets a lot done. Cons it doesnt dry the clothes like a regular dryer, so i dont get the really dry feeling when i oull them out - but it dries them sufficiently, so they're dry and wearable. Laundry takes 3 hours minimum. I usually set mine to extra dry, so the clothes dont feel damp when i wear them.

It work, my only complaint is the dryer time, you need to hang the clothes to complete dry or spend hours and hours doing it inside the machine … but I love it anyway, has good capacity, work for me

This machine is your amazing! Had it for about a month now. We utilize it daily. Make sure it’s level. Don’t overload or add too much soap. Manage your expectations with drying. The machine works flawlessly Never having to move the clothes from one machine to another is a luxury for me, we always use to forget. I highly recommend this machine for anyone with a smaller space, looking to save energy & water, etc. It’s user friendly, looks nice, and performs to expectations. For all those that say the machine is loud, it’s most likely not level, not on a firm floor, or you hear the hoses vibrating against back of machine. Fix those, this baby purrs. I barely hear it. Good luck with your purchase! Hope the next buyer loves it as much as we do!

Had it for a month. Relatively quiet during wash cycle.
Strong rubber smell when dry cycle is complete which I hope will subside over time. Consumes some a constant trickle of water during the dry cycle. Dries considerably well IF it is not over loaded. Half full is ideal.

It's solid overall. The dry function requires you to put less in the load than you'd think for everything to dry normally.
The downside is that if you don't take the clothes out soon after the machine is done, the clothes get wrinkled quickly.

Hi Solid, thanks so much for your review. If you're finding that your clothing is wrinkling after the drying cycle, try taking a look at an article on our website titled "CLOTHES WRINKLING IN THE DRYER" to see if it helps. Due to me being a massage therapist this machine wont work for me due to my busy life. It takes 4 hours on a good day to dry 2 pair of girl pants and 5 shirts. men pants totally a different time. Washing massage sheets it was taking 7-9 hours and that is only 3 individual twin sheets alone.
I can say if you do have an apartment or an living area were you do not have the hook ups to put in a regular washer and dryer, you are a single person to a simple couple only this may work for you it will be a daily chore if u do have to wash. The holding capacity is fair, it gets really hot, and it is quite!! Thank god it does lock on you if the unit is to hot and won’t open at all due to safety reasons just some advice do not open or pause unit in drying mode. Plus dog hair will not be fullly eliminated if that is a wish you are looking for. Also it is an easy hook up! It does dry well also cleans clothes exceptionally well

Hey all, this machine is a great purchase for small loads. Just as a heads up you need to make sure you run a clean cycle on this machine because it doesn’t flush the lint/hair build up as well as it could. I had to have a tech come out to clean it as I have a pet and her hair proceeded to clog up the internal components which I can’t access.

This machine is perfect for a small space that doesn't have a dryer vent. Works well, gets clothes clean, it's quiet. Doesn't hold a lot - think three shirts, three pants and some underwear in a load - and it does take a while ... but you can put laundry in and forget it; no moving from washer to dryer.

I bought this GE washer dryer combo for my 5th wheel RV. I have a GE Washer and dryer at home and I am very happy with GE. This machine is perfect for one or two people and great for camping. Don't overload or your clothes will not dry.

First of all understand the difference between a vented and ventless dryer, and don't expect this washer/dryer combo to function as two separate conventional units.
This GE concept is very common in Europe so it's what I am used to. I love the convenience and small footprint and how it operates.
For me the trick is to not run the automatic cycle which goes straight to dryer mode. I turn dryer mode off. This way you can fill up the machine more for the wash cycle, and it will hold a good amount of clothing. For front loaders with a lot of movement in the drum, the fabrics rubbing together enhances the wash.
The clothes have come out spanking clean, and though stains were gone. There is an option for an extra rinse cycle, but after using it a couple of times I discovered that it wasn't totally necessary for my use. I still prefer to hang dry a lot of my laundry; sheets outside because it smells so good :) and delicates etc. But if I want to use the dryer function on a rainy day, I start it separately after the wash and make sure the drum is only 1/2- 3/4 full depending on fabric thickness.
It works beautifully, but yes takes longer than a vented machine.
You cannot stop/open up the door during the dryer cycle as the door lock is on because the contents are really hot, so let it run it's course.
Very happy with this purchase

This is one nice machine. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to wash and dry the bed quilts we have. But they fit in and cleaned them wonderfully. They were still somewhat damp not bad really. But I hung them up to finish drying.
I was worried about things not drying well. All the smaller stuff dried fine. It was just the quilts and towels that need to be hung up for a bit to perfectly dry.
It cleans very well. Stains that have been on my pants and shirts for years disappeared
Love my ge washer dryer combo.
Sincerely, jon

I have had this combo washer/dryer for a few months now. I absolutely love it. I am in an RV fulltime and this allows me the convenience of washing at home instead of a laundromat. It does shake a bit when it is on the spin cycle but I believe that is because of where it sits. It is ventless so the clothes may feel damp when the cycle is done but their not. (as long as you haven't over packed it) It does take 3 hours and 7 minutes to do a normal cycle but it's nice to not have to switch my clothes over to a dryer.

Rolled the dice on getting this for my small apartment after 3 years of not having a washer or dryer. Have trusted the GE brand despite it being new and having no reviews. The fact this both washed and dried, as well as ran off a 110 plug, 20 amps, and was electric and ventless seemed like a home run. Waited 2 weeks for it to come and couldn't contain our excitement and anticipation. Installed the day it came, followed all instructions, removed shipping bolts, hooked it up and leveled it perfectly. Ran the first cycle with just a few towels and a couple shirts and the problems started.
Washed and tumbled just fine, but during spin cycle, my whole apartment started vibrating. Clocks and pictures on our walls rooms over were shaking. It was so loud that we knew in our guts immediately this wouldn't be a keeper and our own washer/dryer dreams were gone. It wasn't unbalanced, it is just far too forceful. The force that this spin cycle puts out on this washer is far too much for being a small little unit 1/3 the size of a full-sized normal machine. Massive design flaw.
We suffered through 10 minutes of spin cycle noise and it started drying. Drying was quiet enough and would extract the moisture from the clothes and pump out the water. After a 2 hour dry cycle, it finally finished. When we pulled the clothes out, they were still moist. I knew the idea of having no vent for a dryer was too good to be true. We hung the towels and shirts on a drying rack and they took a couple hours to become fully dry.
Really bummed this didn't work out, especially being a big purchase (not cheap at all) that my wife and I had saved for as our combined birthday(s) and anniversary present! Seems well built and doesn't look cheap, but there are too many cons that outweigh the pros. Sure it washes fine and clothes smell and look clean, but the spin cycle force and noise is unbearable and the dryer doesn't dry the clothes. Within 24 hours of delivery, it is already packed up and ready to be sent back. Now I need to go get my wife a belated birthday gift...

Did not work for me. No matter what the size of the load or fabrics it had a weird heated plastic smell and overheated. Then my clothes were held hostage with a locked door while this unit cycled “cool” for what seemed like forever. Even when clothes were washed with cold water and no dry; they came out hot and wrinkled.
On the upside… Best Buy has amazing customer service!!! Return/exchange was no hassle and no fuss. Geek squad is very professional. Will get all my appliances from Best Buy

Machine is a space saver. Clothes come out of dryer a little damp so you still need to hang dry for a little bit. Full wash and dry takes about 3 hrs and loads are small. Would recommend if space is limited and venting is not an option.

I really wish these units had a "wrinkle guard" cycle after drying. But none of them do so it must be the nature if the drying method. It says 2.4 cubic feet, but you can only fill it 2/3 full to have it work properly. I read in one review where you could delay drying, but I have only figured out how to delay washing start. Otherwise, it works well and I am not dissatisfied, but I don't LOVE it like I had hoped to.

We really like the convenience of just putting or clothes in and set it and forget it until its time to take it out. It is really nice to start a load at night and have it ready in the morning. Although it does take a little longer it is nice to be able to do this. Then drying part doesn't need to be vented.
