Posted .Hey there, and thanks for letting us know about the trouble you’ve had. We regret any confusion over operating the machine – we try to make our appliances as simple to use as possible and know this may have caused inconvenience, especially when you haven’t been able to get help. This isn’t the experience we want you to have. To help you adjust to a new appliance, the Use and Care manual does feature detailed instructions on how to use the unit, as well as troubleshooting tips, information on the cycles, etc. If you need to view that manual online, you can do so by looking up the model number on our GE website, going to the product page and clicking the ‘Owner Support’ option under the picture of the appliance. We have a section called ‘Using the Unit’ and a ‘Getting Started’ section that starts on page 6. We hope the information in the manual is helpful. If you have a specific question on using the washer, you are welcome to reach out to us here or over social media. We are always happy to offer assistance! -Sarah@GEA

Posted .Hello, thank you for your review. We are sincerely sorry that the controls for your washer/dryer combination unit have not been as intuitive as we would have hoped and that your unit is not operating properly. We understand how that would be frustrating and would love to look into this further as this is not the ownership experience we strive for. If you haven't done so already, we recommend you schedule service with us by calling 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737) Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. ET or Saturday – Sunday: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET or by visiting the "Schedule Service" link under the "Owner Support" tab on our website. -Chris@GEA

Yes, But. . .
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best of all worlds is this washer/dryer combo machine along with a standard, vented dryer to use when needed. If time is not pressing, it's very convenient to put a load into my combo unit and have it dry when I get around to unloading it. But sometimes I need to do multiple loads more quickly so I just transfer the wash from my combo into my vented dryer, then continue with another load of wash. I still have two machines this way, but the options are really great! And if I wash something heavier like a blanket, it dries more quickly in my conventional dryer. I suggest that you hang onto your old dryer when you get a combo unit to try out this system! I would give 5 stars for this two machine approach, but only 4 for the combo machine itself given the major drawback: a long run time.

Posted .Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. Make sure you take advantage of Steam wash cycle. Steam wash penetrates deep into fabric fibers, loosening stains like tomato and grass, yet protecting your fabrics. We appreciate you being part of the GE Appliances family! -Don@GEAppliances

Would recommend
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This washer/dryer takes a longer time to dry clothes than a regular dryer does, but it is still nice. Overall, I am glad that i bought it.

Died after 2 months.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These machines are junk. Quit working after 2 months and gave an error code of 'too hot' anytime I tried to start a load. Hargo Appliance and repair was sent out 4 times to 'fix' the machine and they replaced the main board and did all sorts of diagnostics (or claimed they did) but the machine will still not dry. Last load was 2 pairs of jeans and 2 shirts and 3 hours later the load was not dry. Too a conventional dryer 30 minutes to finish drying the cloths. Save your money and don't buy a GE. They won't stand behind their appliances.

Doesn't DRY, don't buy!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this just over 5 months ago. Have yet to have our clothes completely dry, actually 80% of the time come out still wet. Trying to return this while under warranty. Will keep you posted. Not feeling confident. Definitely steer clear of these smaller combo machines until they work out this serious continuous issue! *** Note, we own the large capacity combo washer/dryer, so we are familiar on proper usage.

Posted .We can understand how upsetting it is when a new appliance doesn't meet your expectations. The normal cycle is approximately 3 hours for a medium/large towel load. Obviously, if the basket is full of clothes, the cycle will be longer. The wash cycle (about 1 hour) is the same as any other front load washer. The dry cycle takes longer due to compromises made to do both functions in the same machine. We recommend loading the drum to a maximum of 2/3 capacity to allow airflow during drying. Note: This is a condenser dryer, so it won't dry as quickly as a vented dryer.
