But it looks like it opens down doesn't it? Maybe I should have studied the pictures more. Make sure to push the door closed with significant effort. Same goes for the matching washing machine. Closing it gently won't engage the safety switch.

My concern is the loud beep that sounds twice before the dryer is finished. If the dryer was in the garage or farther away the beep would not be an issue.
