The main disadvantage to this dryer is that it does not have an internal light.

I do wish it had a higher heat temperature, but if it lasts as long as the GE dryer it replaced, it will be worth it. Time will tell.

BTW GE "Using the proper venting material and making sure the vent duct-work is the proper length is very important to the operation of a dryer. GE Appliances recommends the use of a solid metal vent pipe 4" in diameter for adequate operation. 4" diameter flexible metal venting may be used but will increase the drying time." Best Buy sold me and installed flexible metal venting.

We recommend checking the manufacturers care instructions (located on the tag of an item), so that the appropriate setting and temperature can be chosen. Lint filter

Inoperable from the start

Door won’t close properly so it won’t start. One week to get service out to the location. At least another to get the part. Not a good product from the start.

I have to run each load of clothes multiple times and even then sometimes they are not fully dry. We have tried troubleshooting by making sure all the lint is removed from the dryer and vacuuming out any excess lint we find. I make sure we are not overloading it and still it just seems to not be heating. I am assuming our next step is to replace the heating element but i am hesitant to spend the money to do so when on a product that stopped working 6 months into having it. Very disappointed.
