This dryer requires more dry time as compared to my older, cheaper dryer. It requires us to add extra dry time to most loads in order to have fully dry clothes/towels/sheets. However, I do really enjoy the iPhone connection that lets me know when the cycle is complete.

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very Large.. so if you have a small space you may wanna rethink it.. some very smart features.. love the fact that you no longer have to leave the door open to dry it out.. the microban mouldings so far are holding up although it's only been a few months.. we stacked them.. so they are a bit taller than our previous samsungs. Wife needs a step stool.. Wish the made these units "shallower". When you factor the extra 3-5 inches for dryer duct and hose fittings the space needed is much deeper than the actual units. They work great though!

I had a Samsung one before this one - it was so loud! The one thing I don't love is the lint catcher, it has tiny grooves that are a bit hard to get everything out of. But other than that, it dries great and its very quiet.

Doesn’t close with a light touch, you must close it with some power behind it! Even the salesman noticed it once I brought it to his attention! Not sure if all the dryers are that way but the two at different stores had the same issue and unfortunately the one that arrived at my residence has the same issue! Other than that, great dryer!

Combined with the matching washer this dryer is also the best I have had. Very well built. Quiet. Fast. The washer and dryer work well with each other in that they can both wash and dry your clothes within just a few minutes of each other. This and the large capacity makes a laundry day for a family of four go by in half the time it used to. Very good investment.

The link to the washer means that we seldom have to tell it which cycle to perform, since it detects the one from the washer. If you need extra time because the dryness sensor isn’t detecting moisture (from certain thicker fabrics), the timed setting works perfectly. The app will notify you when the cycle is nearly complete. The color is pretty, too! Overall, a fantastic buy.

The only draw back, is the described “smart” capabilities are weak. You can’t actually control the machine from an app on your phone. You can’t choose setting and start it whenever. You get updates for it finishing, but that’s it. Cleaning wise, it’s incredible. But the “smart” capability selling point for the higher price, is wasted. Which is why it gets 4 stars instead of 5. If they update the software to let you truly control it, then it’s past 5 stars. At that point, there is no better.
