First time front load buyer here. I’m a dyed in the wool, deep water agitator guy. I thought. I am very impressed with the performance of this unit. Lots of features, high quality construction, and it actually cleans clothes. And it looks good.

Love my GE dryer does an amazing job drying and not stinking clothes. Only think that’s a pain and really with any dryer is the lint tray.

My dryer picks up soo much lint. Im impressed with ecerything it traps through the filter. Its a remote dryer as well.

Went into the store expecting to buy another brand, but the Best Buy salesman sold us on GE (he personally has the washer and dryer combo). So far so good.

I purchased the GE dryer (model GFD85ESPNRS) from Best Buy with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of frustrating and exhausting. The problems started not long after installation—well before any issues developed with the matching washer. The display panel on the dryer began malfunctioning early on. It would freeze, not respond properly, and eventually had to be replaced. I contacted Geek Squad, and while they did send someone out to replace the panel, the issues didn’t end there. For months now, I’ve been getting a recurring error code 29. I’ve called Geek Squad multiple times and had several service visits. Each time, the technician says everything is “normal” or “working as expected,” but nothing has been resolved. The error continues to appear, and the dryer clearly isn’t functioning the way it should. It’s confusing, stressful, and deeply disappointing. What’s worse is that I’ve asked for a replacement and was told it’s not an option—even though this is an ongoing issue that has never been fixed. I feel completely stuck with a product that doesn’t work properly and no clear path forward. I’ve tried to do everything right: contacted support, followed instructions, scheduled service. And still, nothing is solved. At this point, I feel trapped. No one is taking accountability, and I don’t feel supported at all. This has taken up so much of my time and energy, and yet I’m still left with a dryer that gives me constant problems and no peace of mind. I’m incredibly unhappy and unsatisfied. I trusted Best Buy and Geek Squad to stand behind the products they sell and support their customers—but that trust has been broken. I would not recommend this model, and sadly, I no longer feel confident recommending Best Buy either.

I think this the best machine I’ve owned! It’s smart, pretty and very efficient! Easy to use and makes my laundry room look beautiful!

Lint trap is not designed properly. Always seem to have lint in the outside of the trap and even inside dryer. I do clean it on a regular basis. Otherwise great appliance!

Great machine! I have had zero issues, and been highly satisfied with results, including but not limited to, a lower water bill.

I absolutely love this dryer! I appreciate that there are a multitude of settings for different loads and I love that I can use the app to manage my laundry if I'm busy with other tasks. I believe it was well worth the price!

I’m happy with the electric. Thought I’d have to switch to gas but am pleased with the drying of the electric.

Love my new washer and dryer. Washes greater and has several features that I find very useful. I love that I can dip up the detergent dispenser and wash up to 50 loads!

This appliance is quiet and works quickly. Its just what i needed to replace my 20 year old set

Nice machine works well , bigger than the standard machines making it a bit harder to fit in my space

We looked at a lot of washer dryer set and this one was by far the best. It has performed as advertised and we love the wireless feature. We are a month in and it’s still fantastic. You can’t go wrong.

I am so happy with this dryer. This is my first time to own a dryer. For years I have been doing laundry at the laundromat and what a difference . I did not know what I was missing.

Love this so far, I did have the filter alert pop on a few times to clean the lint trap that I had thoroughly cleaned already but it eventually stopped. Love the alerts on my phone letting me know my clothes are dry!

The dryer is great - quiet and easy to use. Haven't really used the WiFi features, because it's just not necessary. The steam dry feature is a nice touch to avoid wrinkles and this handles large loads with ease. We reversed the door as well, which was necessary given our set up.

This dryer is great. It has a lot of settings, but its not too confusing. I love the refresh button!
