    Best Buy shouldn't sell appliances

    I can't give a rating on this appliance yet because we've been waiting to use it for two months. Delivery was delayed several times because the washer comes directly from GE and Best Buy has no control over the delivery. When it was finally delivered and installed after the third day I had water dripping through my kitchen ceiling below the laundry room. When I went to Best Buy to let them know I had to file a claim which took several days to get. Once I received confirmation that the claim was filed I was told someone would be in touch in 5-7 business days. On the 7th day someone sent and email with the claim number saying someone would reach out in 7-10 business days. On the 10th business day someone emailed and said they will escalate it and we should hear from someone in another 7-10 business days. Best Buy contracts with third parties to deal with this so when you go to the store there is nothing they can really do. Absolute joke. Stop selling appliances if you aren't going to take responsibility. Best Buy has no problem taking the money for the appliances but has no recourse when things go wrong for the customer. Worst buying experience I've ever had and you would think they would do more to help resolve this issue. I've been in the store many times and have asked them to take ownership and help us reach out to these other parties to get things repaired and functional. Lesson Learned- Pay more and go to an appliance store to purchase appliances where you will get the service you deserve.

    ONLY LOOKS PRETTY--WORKS LIKE CRAP

    The machine does not know how to truly sense the clothing to know the right water level. It does not drain all of the water from the cycle so you have to run an additional drain/spin cycle. Lid has a clicking noise and the whole inside lid assembly is plastic and breaking into pieces. The whole lid assembly has be replaced by replaced. GE service agents are a joke. The first one assigned to us never showed. Second one doesn't know why he can't order the part, which I found online is OUT OF STOCK. WISHED I WOULD HAVE NEVER GOTTEN THIS.

    Faulty codes

    I sent this washer back the week I got it for an exchange a code was coming up. They installed the new machine and code came up. The installer said it’s fine these machines come up with the code

    Worst washer i have ever bought

    Sensor is no use for a large load gives enough water for a small load so clothes up top dont get washed. After is done clothes on top still dry. Unless u put it on deep fill everytime so the rest of the machine is useless with all the other options. I regret buying this washer i rather have an older model and is also noisy.

    Just got the washer on Friday, 3/29/24 and it is already not working. I managed to wash 1 load successfully. Tried to wash a load of towels and the washer fill up, but does nothing after that. It will be going back in Monday. Back to the drawing board.

    Worst product, don’t buy.

    This is one of the worst washer we ever used. It has balancing issues most of the times regardless of the load and starts banging on the sides. Their technicians comes and checks using software device and says everything is alright. I never faced these issues with my previous homes which had different washers.

      We are sorry to hear about the balancing trouble you are having with your unit. Make sure the cycle selected matches the load you are washing. Some fabrics will feel wetter when rinsed with cold water. This can be found on our website (page 9) in the use and care guide searching your model number. GE_Appliances

    Washing machine issue

    Was a year into putting an addition on the house and definitely was looking forward to having a second floor washer and dryer so we bought the ge profile water and dryer, recorded the first set and after hooking them up and turning the water on to the unit the cold water would not shut off to the machine so we called and scheduled a new unit to be delivered and swapped out and a week later it was sealed so after connecting the water etc now the hot water would not shut off to the unit, very dangerous situation, if someone didn’t know better they would of walked away thinking what a great job they did making all of the connections but to return later to find the water never shut off and overflowed out of the drum and all over the floors and ceiling and floors below, did i mention this was with no power to the machine, smh

    My parents bought this washer and dryer set and I super duper think it stinks!!! The washer really doesn't get my clothes really clean Imo. It doesn't use enough water even in the regular wash setting. The dryer doesn't use nowhere near enough heat to dry clothes. The settings are confusing, what should be a high setting seems like a low setting. Imo its not all that, sorry!!

In your message, provide the model and serial numbers for your washer and dryer, and a copy of this review. We do want to note that the Department of Energy (DOE) sets standards for washer water usage. Over the years, the amount of allowable water usage has been reduced. With washers using less water and energy, you will no longer see a wash basket full of water. Most washers are now programmed with load sensing to adjust water levels based on the cycle and load size, so the amount of water used will vary. We can assure you that even though the water level is lower, your clothes are still getting properly cleaned. We do recommend using an HE detergent to ensure proper operation of your washer as well.     Terrible Install

    Only has one star because the site won't allow me to continue without a star, but zero out of zero stars is the correct rating. Products wouldn't necessarily be bad. However, the third party delivery and install company is the problem. Resulted in a flooded laundry room, damaged washer and dryer, allowed them to use my restroom and fecal matter was left. HIGHLY recommend you do your own install. After all, that's what we ended up doing. Will never use "Best" Buy for any service or shop their stores again.

    Loud Noise

    Loud annoying humming noise when washing! You would think in this day and age products this expensive would be quiet. I’m definitely returning to Best Buy!!!

      We are sorry to hear you are hearing this humming sound and can understand your concern. We recommend making sure your washer is completely level. All 4 legs are nylon with a 1" hex head foot pad or nut. The bottom of the nylon feet are rubber. On older Top Load washers, the front legs are adjustable up or down an inch and the rear legs are self-leveling. On newer Top Load and Front Load washers, all 4 leveling legs are adjustable. To set the rear self-leveling system on an older Top Load washer, tip the machine forward so that the rear legs are about 4" off the floor. Then, drop the washer to set the rear legs. They will automatically adjust to the level of the floor. We have a great video on our site if you'd like to check it out. It is titled: WASHER - LEVELING THE LEGS. It is our hope this is the issue, and it is resolved. GE_Appliances

    Loud GE Profile dryer.

    This review pertains to the GE dryer. Its loud and does not dry on one cycle, I have run the clothes thru a 2nd cycle to get dry. Unacceptable I will be returning this item.

We also recommend making sure your venting isn't clogged or blocked on the outside of your home.
