    We returned this washer because we did not believe that the water level, even when selecting the Deep Fill option, was sufficient to wash the load. This was true for all sizes of loads, from small to full size. Example: for a large load I manually added 6 gallons to the wasber in order to have sufficient water to wash the load. Without the extra water some of the items were never submerged in water during the entire cycle. Note that this was necessary during both the wash and rinse cycles.

    Unhappy with how well it cleans white sheets

    Very unhappy with this washing machine. Not sure what the problem is, but a load of white sheets just don't seem to get clean and we've had to washing them again at times. We certainly have not been overloading it, but we have tried to lower the loads to only 6 or 7 sheets and it still doesn't perform well for us. I can't say that I've noticed this with clothes using a normal setting vs the sheet/towel setting so perhaps I'll try that type and see if it makes a difference.

      To improve wash performance, use the correct amount and type of detergent, load carefully, and select the right amount of water and settings for your load size. Keep the lid closed during the wash cycle. When cleaning your sheets, we recommend changing your water temperature to warm or hot if you aren't already. Step 1: Select the right amount and type of detergent. Follow the manufacturer’s recommended amount for your load. Pre-treat stains if needed. If your washer has an infusor or precise-fill setting, you should use HE (High Efficiency) detergent. HE detergent is a low sudsing detergent. Contrary to other applications, suds in a washing machine can reduce cleaning performance.

      Step 2: Loosely load the clothing into the washer basket around of the outside of the basket. Pouring and/or compacting the load can lead to poor cleaning performance and increase wrinkling and tangling. Do not wrap items around the agitator just place the sheets inside.

      Step 3: Close the lid. Select the settings for your washer cycle. Several washers can select the correct amount of water. Clothing that floats in the water may not get the optimum turnover to clean properly. Keep the lid closed during the entire wash cycle. Note: You may want to add a couple towels to the load and use an Oxi additive along with your detergent to help sanitize and get them cleaner. GE_Appliances

If needed, you can adjust the leveling legs by rotating the individual leg in the proper direction for up or down.     Can't connect to WiFi with washer password

    How to you find the wifi password for the washer? All it shows is a UPD number. Best buy employees don't know, Reddit has an extremely long topic on the subject and that didn't help. Dryer has one but not the washer. Please assist me

      Hi there - Thanks for taking the time to reach out. Smart washers and dryers connect to WiFi in one of two ways: Bluetooth connection or by entering an assigned password. We will cover both processes below.
      Open the SmartHQ app and sign in. From the Welcome screen, select your brand of appliance, appliance category, and the type of appliance you’re trying to connect. Make sure to allow location access if you're prompted on your smartphone.
      Turn on the appliance and initiate the WiFi by following the directions on the SmartHQ app. Once activated on the appliance, the WiFi LED on the display will flash.
      If you see a popup screen asking to pair the appliance (Bluetooth):
      Select it from that popup and continue.
      Choose your home WiFi network from the list.
      Select it, enter your WiFi password, and click “Connect.”
      If you're prompted to enter a password:
      Find the Connected Appliance Info label on the appliance. The label contains the network name and password.
      Type in the password from the Info label.
      Go to your phone's WiFi settings and choose the network name found on the Info label. This will start communication between the SmartHQ app and the appliance.
      When successful, the "Choose home network" screen will appear. Find your home WiFi network and enter your WiFi password to connect the device back to your home network. If you do not see your home network on the list of WiFi networks, choose the "Other" option and enter your network name yourself.
      The connection process will begin. The WiFi LED on the washer will stop flashing and will remain solid. Your SmartHQ app will alert you that it’s Connected.
      For some models, Bluetooth setup won’t be activated right away. You can manually input your washer or dryer's assigned password to begin the setup by following the "If you're prompted to enter a password" steps above.

    TERRIBLE MACHINE. ALWAYS SHAKES. Almost every load has had to be paused and rebalanced. Terrible terrible terrible. Do not buy! Very unfortunate to have thrown away $650 on a washer we have to baby sit.

    Broke after less than a month. Tried to return but turned out the return policy was within 16 days only. Waiting on the warranty people to come fix which is a two weeks wait. Would NEVER recommend to anyone.

      Hello- Thanks so much for your purchase! This is a beautiful set! It is normal to hear certain sounds that you may not be used to hearing. A drumming noise is caused by air being pushed out of the basket towards the outer case. This causes the cabinet/outer case to move in and out which may sound like someone is beating on a drum. We have a link with normal sounds that you will hear from your new washer on our site if you'd like to check them out. We also have some optional Anti-Vibration pads that may help!     This is the worse washing machine I have ever had in my life. I’ve read the Quick Guide and the Owner's Guide numerous times. It does not clean my clothes, nor my blankets, sheets, etc. The instructions vary depending on which model you have but the instructions are not clear. I wish I had never purchased it and would like to return/exchange it for a better brand/model.

    Not sure if is a good washer, but since the start button stopped working after a couple of weeks, I’m not happy. Good thing I bought the warranty and it will be fix next week. One star because a new washer shouldn’t break after < 2 weeks. The sad thing is that I choose GE over LG and Samsung because I trusted GE more.
