I definitely don’t use all the bells and whistles on it though, I treat it more like just a standard washing machine and it works fantastic. It is a large capacity which makes washing things like blankets & snow gear a dream.. My only complaint is that the Lid is a little flimsy, my first one ended up with a crack on the gray inside part of the lid from not getting the clothes in all the way. It just continued to crack every time I would open and close it. I do recommend paying for the Best Buy warranty because they just replaced my whole washing machine after having to wait a little while for OEM parts.

My only issue is that bulky items do cause major imbalance. Maybe I just don’t know how to load correctly. But I love love the tide pod section of the detergent dettings and my clothes has been cleaned just right.

It doesn’t balance on itself and the moment the spinning circle starts you’ll need to go and pull some of the blankets out, let it spin and add the rest.

Posted .We regret that you have concerns with noise and the washer has had a balancing issue. You can often resolve an out-of-balance issue by redistributing items and running a Drain & Spin cycle. You also may want to make sure to load items evenly and loosely around the outside of the basket, ensure the load itself is the right size for the cycle, and check that the washer is level. Making sure the washer is level may cut down on vibration and therefore noise as well. If you continue to have trouble and think service may be needed, that department can be reached at 1-800-432-2737.

We have had it less than 3 months, and the lid completely broke off. The repair guy from GE said this happens all of the time. We really regret buying this and will NEVER buy anything GE again.

I previously had a front loader which I really liked until it developed mold and I couldn’t get rid of it. Anyway, I would not buy this machine again. It is very loud. The controls are difficult to figure out. It makes a sound once when it is done so if you happen not to hear it it’s best to use a timer.

In it you will find descriptions of the normal sounds you can expect to hear and how to best to take advantage of all the features this great washer has to offer. We'd also recommend you consider connecting the washer to your WiFi and our SmartHQ app which will not only allow you to adjust the sound level of the end-of-cycle signal, but you can also receive notifications as to when the cycle is complete. Connecting your washer will allow you to download additional cycles and product optimization updates when available.

The center drum huts the sides when it is in the spin cycle and you can hear it 2 rooms away. It has to keep stopping after it is banging on the sides and then starts up again bangs the sides a but then stops again

The spin.does not really dry the clothes. I have to add an additional 11 minutes for the clothes the dry before i put it into the dryer.

I will say, go ahead and pay the extra $ for installation. The first unit that was delivered and tested made a god-awful sound and was defective, so they hand to take it back. The installer said that rarely happens, BUT I'm still glad I was safe with delivery/test. Back to the washer, my husband's clothes get DIRTY due to his job and this washer has each load perfectly clean.

The washer is very cheaply made and is so loud. From the beginning of the cycle when it weighs the load to the final spins it makes so many loud noises that sounds like grinding. When it is spinning on even the smallest of loads it makes awful banging noise and I am just very unimpressed. I did a lot of research before my purchase and thought this set was the one but sadly it is not.

Posted .A banging noise during a drain and/or spin cycle may occur from the drain hose hitting against the back of the washer. This can occur if the drain hose is not secured properly. For information on proper installation, check the section titled “Connect Drain Hose to Washer” on page 19 of the Owner’s Manual, which can be viewed at the bottom of the Features tab on the product page of the Best Buy website. -- We also recommend leveling your washer, as it prevents the washer from excessive vibration when in use. When leveling a washer, make sure to level both front to back and side to side by adjusting the four leveling legs. Also note that the more the legs are extended, the shakier the washer will be during operation. Lauren@GEAppliances

You can actually wash watch the wash.

It is awful. It is never balanced and takes constant readjustment of the clothes and it makes horribly loud sound when it locks making late night laundry with kids nearly impossible.

Posted .We understand your concern about the balancing issue and the sound you're hearing. For help with the balancing issue, please allow cycle to continue and finish. If load is wet at the end of the cycle, even out load and run a Drain & Spin cycle. Newer refrigerators sound different from older models. Modern refrigerators have more features and use newer technology which produces more noise. We would like for you to review the "Sounds" section on pg, 24 of the Owner's Manual for a description of the sounds that are considered normal.
If the balancing problem persists and/or you consider the noise you're hearing as abnormal, we recommend scheduling a service appointment for one of our qualified technicians to assess your washer. You can schedule an appointment by calling us at: 1-800-432-2737.

The first one delivered was dented and shook and bang in the soin cycle. The second one leaked all over the floor. The third one the valve wouldnt close to cut off the water. GE use to be a good brand but now they are the bott of the barrel.

The lid doesn't close and lock securely during most of the cycle times (especially when filled with deep water)...not child safe. Our lid doesn't even go down all the way on the left side. The clothes come out smelling dirty and moldy. The machine we got is so moldy (likely the water left behind from testing the machine at the factory...but i cant be sure.) The cycles dont allow for the customization you think they would, based on how they're advertised. For instance you can do deep rinse OR extra rinse...not both. It's a mess. Don't waste your money or your time. This has been a nightmare. We have a new baby and can't get clean clothes with our new machine. Customer service won't even repsond.

Posted .We are very sorry to hear you are having these issues with your washer. This is not what we expect to hear. If an out-of-balance condition is detected by the washer, the Spin light will blink during the remaining portion of the cycle and will stay illuminated for a short time after cycle completion. When the washer tries to redistribute the load, the Rinse light will be illuminated solid while the Spin light blinks. When this occurs, the washer is taking actions to correct the out-of-balance condition and complete the cycle normally. In some cases, the washer may not be able to balance the load and spin up to full speed. If you notice the load is more wet than normal at the end of the cycle, redistribute the load evenly in the wash basket and run a Drain & Spin cycle.

We had and issue at first but that was because it was unbalanced. I suggest, when installing it yourself, make sure its balance correctly and it will work perfectly.
