Despite following all recommended cleaning and maintenance procedures, mold continues to grow inside the machine and causes a strong, persistent odor. That odor transfers directly to clothing. We have had multiple pieces of expensive clothing ruined because of mold and mildew buildup inside the washer. This is not a minor inconvenience—it’s a serious design flaw. We are currently going through the warranty replacement process with Best Buy due to how bad the issue has become. A washing machine should clean clothes, not damage them. I do not recommend this product to anyone. If you care about your clothing or expect a washer to function properly long-term, look elsewhere.

Posted .We'd like to help out offer cleaning tips that can help with removing the build-up you are noticing. For cleaning the interior of your washer, we recommend using a "Self-Clean" cycle using bleach. You can find instructions on page 20 in the user manual. You will also want to clean around the gasket when leftover detergent residue is noticed. You can wipe this area and the dispenser section with mild detergent, diluted bleach or diluted vinegar. You can view more troubleshooting by viewing our article titled "Front Load Washer - Odor in Tub" on our GE Appliances website.
Smart Washer, Dumb App

Worse, the washer sometimes skips the final spin entirely, leaving soaking laundry and forcing a repeat Drain & Spin. Build quality feels cheap for the price. I regret this purchase.

Even after running it through 5–6 full cycles, the clothes are still damp and unwearable. It does not matter which setting or cycle is used—the result is always the same. Essentially saying the dryer is useless. For a brand-new appliance, this is unacceptable.

DO NOT use the third party service for the propane conversion! MN Pluming. They left me with a propane leak for 8 hours in my house, did not even check for leaks. Had to hire my own company and Best Buy customer service the first person on 1/27 didn’t even escalate my complaint to get a refund for the service called again a week later got it escalated (supposivly). Called again a week later and no claim was in there. Since the order was closed out they couldn’t do a refund and offered me a 100 dollar gift card for the third party’s service lol!! It costed 300 and another 300 for my own person. Still working on Best Buy to get reimbursed.
