Worst Washer/Dryer ever purchased! Avoid!!!

It's clear that quality and attention to detail is not a priority for GE. The washer continues to leak and hold water with continuous drain issues. Within the past month, I've had to do multiple phones calls with GE to get this washer repaired. Technicians can take days to arrive just for a diagnosis. It can take a week plus just for the part and then another few days for them to come out again to repair! It's been 3 weeks and the issue still hasn't been resolved! At this point the honorable thing to do would be to replace the entire washer, but they refuse unless a technician claims it unrepairable. At least that's what I was told by service. Then the technician tells me that this is a lie. Then later, the service tells me the technician needs to go on a call with the engineer and have the engineer mark it. Which one is it??? Why wasn't it done in the first place? Absolutely pathetic! Of course if all that wasn't enough, they clearly don't keep records correctly. They had my purchase date for the product incorrectly and I had to correct them multiple times otherwise I'd be "out of warranty". I highly recommend you also keep your receipt and all records of communication if you've mistakenly purchase this product. If I could, I would return this product and get a completely different brand. I'll never purchase a GE profile washer/dryer again!

do not buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this washer and the matching dryer a year and two months ago and the washer came with a one year warranty two months after the warranty expired. The washer stopped. I paid close to $1000 for just the washer. It was an oh well sorry about your luck from Best Buy, but I was stuck because now I have the dryer and I really wanted it the washer to continue matching it so I purchased another one this time with additional Best Buy coverage which I feel I should not need nor anyone should need to do on an item this expensive they did give me a discount, but I’m still having to pay $900 which is ridiculous. One year later I purchased this because the prior reviews indicated it was a great washer, a lot of digital technology that’s where this goes wrong. The best advice I will give you is don’t purchase anything with digital on it. It causes too many issues by a regular washer and dryer with the turn the knob like I used to Have years ago. I feel GE has good appliances. I should say they did years ago, but there’s no rhyme or reason why I should purchase an additional warranty on a item that was $1000 and a year later it stopped working to get it fixed was gonna cost me $700 unfortunately if I didn’t have that dryer I definitely would have avoided buying another one but I can tell everyone do not absolutely do not buy this OPS the 10 year limited warranty, which there’s a sticker on it is crap. I found out it only covers the motor and the drum which the service tech said very rare I feel Best Buy should’ve just given me another one free of charge for that amount that I spent

Two lemons in a row, AVOID!!

Repair person said the cost to repair so more than cost of the washer, so it would be cheaper to replace. Got a new one thinking it couldn't happen twice but the second one only lasted a little over a year!! What I piece of garbage. GE should be ashamed of themselves!

Horrible washer/dryer Best Buy not fixing

Best Buy sent a tech out and when he left and I turned on the washer two of my rooms got flooded. Been 3 weeks without a washer and Best Buy is doing nothing to help!! They don’t stand behind the extended warranty they sell either!!

If the washer doesn’t seem to have power at all, resetting it by disconnecting it from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting may help. Troubleshooting tips are available starting on page 31 of the manual; if you’d like to view that, you can do so on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product’s page. Shakes the house

Maybe if you had it on concrete it would be tolerable but for a 2nd story laundry room it’s awful. I’ve put a single pair of jeans in it and as soon as the spin cycle gets going it’s intolerable, to the point I think it’s going to break something. I wish there was a way to slow down the spin cycle. I’m very disappointed.

Posted .We appreciate you reaching out and being a valued GE Appliance customer. We would like to provide some guidance to help with the shaking of your unit. Keep in mind this washer is designed to move 1/4” to reduce forces transmitted to the floor. This movement is normal. One thing to check is that all rubber leveling legs are firmly touching the floor. Push and pull on the back right and then back left of your washer to check if it is level. If the washer is uneven, adjust the rubber leveling legs so they are all firmly touching the floor and locked in place. Another thing to make sure is that the load in the unit is balanced. If the unit becomes unbalanced, you’ll want to pause the unit, open the door and manually redistribute load. To check the machine, run the rinse and spin with no load. If normal, unbalance was caused by load. This and more troubleshooting can be found on the website in your use and care guide (page 28).

Washer with A lot of great features

This morning the door won’t open after running a load. The help guide says there might be a clog. Fingers crossed that it is an easy fix.

DO NOT BUY this GE model - Awful

Every one I get squeaks rattles and sounds like its going to destroy itself when you use it. I would never buy these again. Only good thing about it is that you can put a king comforter in it. Otherwise BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Buy a basic washer

I have reached out to GE to have it repaired, as it is under warranty but that process is not going smoothly. I am being told the earliest it can be serviced is a month from now. Once they do look at it who knows how long it will take from then, if a part needs to be ordered. So, I have a washer that I paid $1300 for ten months ago and I’m going to the laundry mat for the next month and have been for the past week. Ridiculous. No I worked not recommended this washer.

Posted .If you have not already done so, we recommend you disconnect power to your washer for 2-3 minutes to reset the electronics. Also, clean your pump filter as described on Page 21 of the Owner's Manual. If the washer is unable to drain the water from the wash basket, this can prevent it from spinning and/or completing the cycle. If needed, the Owner's Manual is available for you to view, download or print. Click on the Features tab and scroll all the way down till you see the Owner's Manual link.
