We understand your concern with your unit stopping while it's spinning, This is normal because many cycles incorporate as series of soaks within the agitation period to get your clothes clean with less wear. I went with ge because it was a good set for 20 years. I went with ne ge set cause my washer finally died and i kind of regret it. Its loud. Washer and dryer are on top floor i can hear it from basement.

New washers may sound different from your prior washer. You will hear clicks, water flowing, gear sounds followed by pauses, and electric hum sounds are all part of the normal wash cycle. To listen and watch videos of normal washer operation, please review page 24 in your manual to click on a QR code.

Like others I find it doesn't balance well even with my careful loading. I don't overload, and it still bangs and I have to stop it in mid cycle. The detergent feed isn't effective. I've had undesolved powder left in the trough. If you are 5'4" and under, do not buy this. You will not be able to get the last of small items out of the tub. I didn't test that thoroughly in the store. I wouldn't recommend this washer. It's just okay,

Posted .Most large comforters and blankets will wash properly in our washers, as long as the comforter fits below the balance ring of the washer tub and is not stuffed into the tub tightly. If your dispenser still has detergent after the load is complete, then it's possible the wash water is too cold or there is low home water pressure. To ensure the water requirements for this unit are being met, please review the "Water Supply Requirements" section on pg. 18 of the Owner's Manual. If the issue persists, we recommend scheduling a service appointment for one of our Bodewell technicians to assess your unit. However it had a nice dent in it upon opening the box. The kid loading it, told me to just pound it out. I said sell me one without damage. I wasn't too happy.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this matching set to replace a Whirlpool Duet front-loading set that was about 14-15 years old, I’ve had pretty good luck with other GE appliances so I was optimistic. Boy was I wrong. The washer is noisy and is so “efficient“ that you pretty much have to run it on the most aggressive, least efficient cycle to actually clean the clothes. The dryer has to be run on the least efficient cycle and often times run twice just so the clothes are actually dry when they come out. And yes, the dryer is vented properly and there is nothing broken with either unit, they just suck at their intended purpose.

I have many GE products and have always been very happy with all items but this washing machine is worthless and I hate it. I would never recommend that anyone purchase it. It never has enough water and tangles my clothes beyond recognition. All my permanent press clothing are now PERMANENTLY wrinkled. My husband's shirts were so tangled I had to cut off some sleeves to untangle them. Bleach dispenses unevenly causing white /faded spots in clothing. I have tried everything recommended in the user's guide but nothing has helped. I want to exchange the washer.

Two control boards replacement, one water controller replacement,1 locking mechanism replacement and I know I'm getting lid not closed error. Good thing I purchsed the extensive warranty or it would be at the dump where it belongs. Speenqueen here I come!
