You can’t change any settings in the normal mode and you have to customize. Every wash basically decided to swap it on the second day I have it.

The washer is very cheaply made and is so loud. From the beginning of the cycle when it weighs the load to the final spins it makes so many loud noises that sounds like grinding. When it is spinning on even the smallest of loads it makes awful banging noise and I am just very unimpressed. I did a lot of research before my purchase and thought this set was the one but sadly it is not.

Posted .A banging noise during a drain and/or spin cycle may occur from the drain hose hitting against the back of the washer. This can occur if the drain hose is not secured properly. For information on proper installation, check the section titled “Connect Drain Hose to Washer” on page 19 of the Owner’s Manual, which can be viewed at the bottom of the Features tab on the product page of the Best Buy website. -- We also recommend leveling your washer, as it prevents the washer from excessive vibration when in use. When leveling a washer, make sure to level both front to back and side to side by adjusting the four leveling legs. Also note that the more the legs are extended, the shakier the washer will be during operation. Lauren@GEAppliances

The lid doesn't close and lock securely during most of the cycle times (especially when filled with deep water)...not child safe. Our lid doesn't even go down all the way on the left side. The clothes come out smelling dirty and moldy. The machine we got is so moldy (likely the water left behind from testing the machine at the factory...but i cant be sure.) The cycles dont allow for the customization you think they would, based on how they're advertised. For instance you can do deep rinse OR extra rinse...not both. It's a mess. Don't waste your money or your time. This has been a nightmare. We have a new baby and can't get clean clothes with our new machine. Customer service won't even repsond.

Posted .We want to assist with any issue you're having with the washer not completing a cycle, and its cleaning performance. If the cycle isn't completing because the washer is going out-of-balance, you should redistribute the load and run a Drain & Spin cycle. We also recommend ensuring the washer is leveled; the leveling legs can be adjusted if needed. For the issue with items not getting clean, we recommend making sure the water temperature is at least 120°F and the washer isn't overloaded. Troubleshooting tips for your model are available starting on page 22 of the manual, and clothes not getting clean is discussed on page 23; that can be viewed on the Best Buy product page when you go to the Features section and scroll to the bottom. If you're having an issue with the matching dryer, PTD70EBPTDG, that model's manual can also be viewed on the Best Buy product page when you go to the Features and scroll to the bottom; troubleshooting starts on page 15. Posted .We appreciate you writing a review. Our top load washer is energy star rated. If you would like more water in the tub, use the Deep Fill option. To do so, press and release the Deep Fill button once before starting the cycle to add 3 addition gallons of water to the wash load or hold the Deep Fill button for 3 seconds to provide the deepest fill level possible. Please note that this will increase cycle time due to the additional time it takes to fill the washer. Washing times vary and are based on the cycle selected, options used, and load size. So far she's been very happy was it. The only problem she's had So far the only problem that that she has had is learning what all the options do.
