Couldn't Get It Right

The first one took over 2 hours to dry one small load of laundry. The replacements were all damaged. The last was badly dented and the guys didn't even bring it into the house. Apparently every single dryer from the warehouse was damaged. This makes no sense. I had to take off 5 days of work to wind up with no dryer after a month. I would never buy a dryer from GE again.

Avoid at all cost!

Wife would return if we could. within a month of ownership, we had a technician out and still doesn’t dry clothes. Tech advised today’s dryers don’t dry clothes. We don’t use any sensor dry, only max time dry and it is terrible. Do not buy.

Ok dry

Don’t do it!

Posted .We would like to provide guidance with this dryer. Drying performance will vary based on multiple factors such as the size of the load, the type of fabric (cottons hold more water than synthetics), the wetness of the clothes and the condition of your exhaust ventilation. Using the proper venting material and making sure the vent ductwork is the proper length is very important to the operation of a dryer. We recommend the use of a solid metal vent pipe 4" in diameter for adequate operation. 4" diameter flexible metal venting may be used but will increase the drying time. We don't recommend the use of flexible, white, plastic vent pipe. This type of vent pipe can collapse and restrict the airflow, causing lint to build up inside the dryer. We also advise removing and cleaning the lint filter each time it is used. The filter can be washed with warm soapy water to remove fabric softener residue from the screen.
We have provided some additional troubleshooting tips to help with the drying of your items in the article "Dryer - Taking Too Long To Dry Clothes or Not Drying at All" on our GE Appliances website. If these tips provided do not help, service is advised. You can schedule an appointment with a Bodewell technician by calling 833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393).

Posted .We regret to hear about your experience. Check for an obstruction in the ductwork. Make sure the outside wall cap or damper is operating easily. If flexible ducting is used, be sure that it is not kinked and is installed properly. It is recommended that you clean the ductwork completely at least once a year. For more information, please check out our support article titled: "Dryer - Things To Check For A Venting Issue" article. Also, it is important that the dryer is level to ensure clothes are tumbling properly and making contact with the moisture sensors located in the lower, front of the dryer. If you continue to have concerns, please call GE Appliances Service at 1-800-432-2737 to schedule a service appointment to have your dryer checked.

There Are Better Dryers!!

Posted .We're glad you reached out. When the eDry button is pressed, cycle settings change to reduce the total energy consumption of the selected sensor cycle. The eDry feature will work great for those items you like to remove and hang immediately. For optimal drying times, turn eDry off.

Not a good experience

Geeksquad had to come 5 different times and each time they needed to order a part. So we’ve been without a dryer for about a month and a half. Now getting an exchange. This sucks.

Troubleshooting tips for what to try for a drying problem are available on page 15 of the manual, which you can view on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product page. Among other tips, you may want to make sure the ducting isn’t kinked or obstructed. If you’re not able to resolve this issue with troubleshooting and think service may be needed, that department can be reached at 833-426-3393. A technician would be glad to examine the dryer.

Decent dryer. purchase extended warranty

Technician came out and said that the gas safety valve is faulty. The part has to be ordered and it takes 3 weeks to arrive. Ridiculous.

Gas Dryer

Lg Profile washer

It washes in slow motion yet tangles the clothes and leaves the clothes dirty. I at times need to wash it 2_3 times for it to look clean. Im very disappointed with this machine. Posted .We share your concerns and recommend you check to be sure the dryer is level as this could affect the operation of the sensor cycles. Check the vent work on the back of the dryer and the vent cap on the outside of your home for any obstruction or restriction that could affect your drying times. Finally, if ECO Dry has been enabled, consider turning this feature off to see if the dry times improve. Additional information is available in the online Owner's Manual. If you continue having difficulty, please call Bodewell, our authorized service team directly at 1-833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393) Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. ET to have your dryer evaluated and repaired as needed.
