Dryer must be run on high heat

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We purchased the washer that goes with this dryer back in April and it’s a great washer, I would totally recommend. So when our dryer broke I chose to get the matching dryer. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. The first dryer we got made a loud banging sound so I reached out to Best Buy who handled everything seamlessly. They scheduled a new dryer delivery within less than a week. Turns out something was on the barrel, maybe came loose during shipment or something (not Best Buy’s fault). So now we have the new dryer and while it no longer makes a banging sound I have to dry everything on high heat to get it to dry. I never used high heat in my old dryer, I actually always used low heat, but that’s not possible with this new dryer. If I use low heat, I have to run it for a whole extra cycle. Even when I use high heat on towels, some still come out damp. Last night I ran a medium size load of towels for an hour and 15 minutes and the hood on the top of my two kids towels were still damp, and I had to lay them out to dry. My old dryer was definitely better than this. I would not recommend this dryer unless you like to run everything on high heat and/or run everything through the dryer twice.

Posted .We'd like to assist with the drying performance of your dryer. There are a few things we recommend trying that may resolve this matter. Be sure to use the proper venting material and make sure the vent ductwork is the proper length. This is very important to the operation of a dryer. We recommend the use of a solid metal vent pipe 4" in diameter for adequate operation. 4" diameter flexible metal venting may be used but will increase the drying time. We don't recommend the use of flexible, white, plastic vent pipe. This type of vent pipe can collapse and restrict the airflow, causing lint to build up inside the dryer.
It's best to remove and clean the lint filter each time it is used. The filter can be washed with warm soapy water to remove fabric softener residue from the screen.

My clothes dry completely. I don't have to keep adding time to get them dry. They dry with a lot less wrinkles if any! I recommend this Smart Gas Dryer!

Delivery it came in dented, second one came in with a gas leak but now with the 3rd machine it's working fine and dries clothes quickly. No issues.

It dries all my clothes really good and no need to double dry them, it has multiple types for drying clothes. Look better in person, I definitely recommend.

My funny haha for the day they arrived is, my new car and washer and dryer set match in color! I picked up my new car the same afternoon! I love the size I bought as well, you can do some pretty good sized loads, and big comforters!
