What a shame

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After purchasing brand new, within 3 weeks several technicians came out, finally diagnosed with a faulty mother board (Brain). It has been a total disaster, same for the matching dryer. Best Buy and GE refused to replace my appliances.

Too loud

Posted .We are sorry to hear you are having this issue with your dryer. Some shaking/noise is normal. we recommend confirming your dryer is level and on a secure floor and sitting evenly. Posted .We encourage you to check the vent on the back of your dryer and the vent cap on the outside of your home for any type of obstruction or restriction that could affect the drying performance. If you continue to experience long dry times, disconnect the power to the unit for 2-3 minutes to reset the electronics. Electrical panel was no good

Drys quickly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the dryer, it does dry fast but it does still leave my clothes damp, more damp then i would like. The lint trap is poorly desighned i have to pick out larger chunks that wont go into the lint trap. So overall if you really want your clothes all the way dry I suggest a time dry cycle for 60 minutes

Used with the matching washer, clothes make it through a wash/dry cycle incredibly quickly. Additionally, the lint filter works great. We have a Great Dane and 2 cats, and the cloths come out mostly hair free after drying.

Good functionality. Gas conversion could be better

The gas conversation from natural gas to LP is a bit of a pain. You practically have to take apart the entire dryer just to swap two tiny pieces. It's not hard to do, but it is time consuming. The functionality of the dryer has been very good. I am very happy with the appliance

Defective Dryer

We’ve replaced the heating element and sensors and still not drying clothes correctly. Also, there was no lint blockage. No one can figure out what’s wrong. Now I have to buy a new dryer after only owning this one for 1 1/2 years.

Avoid like the plague - 2 broken in 6 months

First one the power button wouldnt work and they couldnt get the parts for months. The second one the ignitor stopped working and it wouldn't heat. Worst appliance pair I have ever bought. Avoid these like the plague. I have had 3 of the matching washer too. Ugh.

Poorly made and designed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this matching set to replace a 14-15 year old Whirlpool Duet front-loader set. I’ve had good luck with my other GE products and was optimistic. Boy was I wrong. The washer is noisy and so “efficient” you have to run it on the least efficient, most water consuming cycle just to get your clothes clean. The dryer has to be run in the least efficient way, and sometimes twice, just to get anything to dry completely. Yes, the dryer is vented properly and there is nothing broken with either of them, they just suck at their respective purposes .

Posted .We would like to assist you with your washer and dryer. Over the years, the amount of allowable water usage has been reduced. With washers using less water and energy, you will no longer see a wash basket full of water. Most washers, such as yours, are now programmed with load sensing to adjust water levels based on the cycle and load size, so the amount of water used will vary. Drying performance will also vary based on multiple factors such as the size of the load, the type of fabric (cottons hold more water than synthetics), the wetness of the clothes and the condition of your exhaust ventilation.
