Customers are saying

Customers regard the UltraPro Bar HD 400 Indoor Amplified Antenna favorably for its picture quality and ease of use, with many also appreciating its compact size and attractive design. However, a significant number of users reported issues with reception and signal strength, leading to some dissatisfaction. While some found the channel selection adequate, others felt the price point was not justified by the performance. The antenna's setup was generally considered straightforward.

When I cut the cord to cable, I tried to find THE best antenna so I could watch the basic channels. My rabbit ears kept giving me problems so I thought a nicer, more expensive antenna would be better, but it wasn't. I was still only able to get the same few channels (not all the digital channels it advertised) and the picture kept jumping in and out. I ended up returning it the next day.

Hello CandiB, we are very sorry to hear about your recent unsatisfactory experience you had with our product. Our mission is to provide complete customer satisfaction and quality products that deliver the expected performance.

Antenna reception range is based on a line of sight signal path from the TV broadcast towers to your home. Several factors can limit reception range at your location. Some of these are mountainous and hilly terrain, obstructions in the signal path and metal construction materials.
You can use a website like www.tvfool.com to find the direction your signals are coming from and position the antenna where it is facing toward the tower, as well as, positioning the antenna as high off the ground as you can. You will need to scan for channels on your TV. This is a very important step. Your TV will NOT receive signals from the antenna without doing a channel scan. We recommend that you see you TV’s menu screen for this process or refer the instruction manual that came. The repositioning will allow for optimum reception. It is important that you rescan your channels once the antenna has been repositioned.

The antenna causes local channels to break up, quite often. Disappointing, considering how much a paid for a great quality tv.

This works better than the flat type antenna. It works better than any antenna not connected to a power source. In the Charlotte, NC area, I can pick up about 25 channels. Many of the channels are not available on Dish, Direct TV, or cable. Get the best model that you can afford, add Netflx and Vontage and you will save $$$$.

Honestly, I didnt think this small antenna would get signals, But boy was I wrong! I bought this and connected it to my TV and scanned I use to have 4 channels and after the scan I ended up getting 29 very clear channels. Very happy with this model

I bought this and a Terk Amplified Antenna. Neither worked very well. (I couldn't get the local NBC affiliate.) I thought it might just be the location of my apt until I tried a cheapo antenna that came with a USB TV receiver. The cheapo antenna worked perfectly, although I have to move it around to get a few stations. I liked the form and function of the UltraPro better than Terk but, for obvious reasons, stuck with the cheapo antenna. Although I can't recommend it, I think it's worth a shot.

Just in case the cable system is down... Just in case the internet is down... Bought this antenna to keep connected, as long as the power grid is still up. And it does exactly what it should. Very simple to attach to my plasma SmartTV. It brings in channels that I didn't even know existed1

Thought it would help reception with amplified signal. Doesn't work any better than the old $12.95 antenna I currently have.
