Customers regard the UltraPro Bar HD 400 Indoor Amplified Antenna favorably for its picture quality and ease of use, with many also appreciating its compact size and attractive design. However, a significant number of users reported issues with reception and signal strength, leading to some dissatisfaction. Great HD indoor antenna
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking a good indoor HD antenna. The person I bought it for tried multiple brands and sizes, including other amplified antennas. This one has a large distance reach. I'm very happy with this purchase. This one has the least interference so far.

It has worked wonderfully well since startup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The key to a working antenna may be enough electric charge. Most indoor antennas take their charge from the TV connection. This model takes its charge from the TV and also a plug to a regular electric outlet. It works very well.

Posted .Hi XTYZ4, thank you for reaching out to us regarding our GE UltraPro Bar HD 400 indoor Amplified Antenna. We are very sorry to hear about your recent unsatisfactory experience you had with our product. As the manufacturer, we are very interested in supplying consumers with a quality product that delivers the expected performance. Anytime we hear problems encountered in the use of one of our products, we want to get involved and resolve the difficulties the best we can.
Depending on your location regarding terrain, elevation, etc. and depending on the location of the transmitters for your local stations will determine in large part, the type of antenna required to pull in the stations. Both your general location and the specific area that the antenna is located can affect reception. The distance, terrain and obstacles (buildings, power lines, etc.) between you and the signal tower greatly affect the strength of the signal that reaches you. Where you locate the antenna in the room can also affect the strength of the signal that you receive. First, make sure that the antenna is fully extended on each end. This will allow the antennas dipoles to be fully extended for better reception. The antenna must be connected to the TV and connected to a power source at all times in order for the antenna to function properly. You will need to scan for channels on your TV. This is a very important step. Your TV will NOT receive signals from the antenna without doing a channel scan. We recommend that you see you TV’s menu screen for this process or refer the instruction manual that. You can use a website like www.tvfool.com to find the direction your signals are coming from and position the antenna where it is facing toward the tower, as well as, positioning the antenna as high off the ground as you can. The repositioning will allow for optimum reception.

An antennae is an antennae... they all suck.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An antenna... these things get more complicated. The old one I found already mounted in the attic works the best.

Antenna Works Only It’s Outside
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this antenna because of the 60 mile range of reception it claimed to have. I only live 20 miles from our local tv station, so I figured it would work. Well, the only way it works is if you stick it outside in an open windowsill. Even then it works intermittently. It’s ok in the summer, but with the colder weather here, that’s no so great.

Antenna reception range is based on a line of sight signal path from the TV broadcast towers to your home. Several factors can limit reception range at your location. Some of these are mountainous and hilly terrain, obstructions in the signal path and metal construction materials. We recommend that you see you TV’s menu screen for this process or refer the instruction manual that came. You can use a website like www.tvfool.com to find the direction your signals are coming from and position the antenna where it is facing toward the tower, as well as, positioning the antenna as high off the ground as you can. The repositioning will allow for optimum reception. It is important that you rescan your channels once the antenna has been repositioned. If you are still not able to access any channels, your antenna may be over amplifying the signal. We recommend that you switch the amplifier to the OFF position behind the antenna and rescan for channels again

important!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hello, I live where the worst antenna would reach some channels, buy this one by its design and it does not work at all. It seems that the only thing that sells is its design when it is not its main objective besides super expensive.

Amplified indoor HD antenna
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately this unit did not pull in the OTA HD channels available in my area. Posted .Hello Jill, we are very sorry to hear about your recent unsatisfactory experience you had with our product. In reading your review, we would like to have the opportunity to work with you directly and help you get more channels. As the manufacturer, we continuously strive to maintain high quality products that provide complete customer satisfaction.
To ensure you receive the maximum number of channels you may want to experiment re-positioning the antenna. For best antenna reception the ends of the antenna must me fully extended. Place the antenna as high as possible or near a window. You can use www.antennaweb.org to look for the DTV reception maps to determine the available stations and location of the broadcast towers in your area. Make sure to scan your TV for channels. This is a very important step. Your TV will NOT receive signals from the antenna without doing a channel scan. If you continue to receive poor TV reception, the antenna may be over amplifying the signal. Switch the amplifier to OFF position and re-scan your channels.
