    Horrible. Worked worse than the previous antenna.

    Horrible. Worked worse than the previous (flat) antenna I had in place, despite greater promised amplification. Cost three times as much as previous solution, forced me back to cable to get local TV stations. Do not buy. Would give it zero stars if possible.

    I am supposedly in the 35 mile band for a number of stations. This product was rated at a higher radius and still wouldn't pick up any signals. I called GE and they were no help. I have it one star because the rating process would not allow for 0.

      You are correct. Your channels will depend on the signals provided by your local stations in your area. From your description, make sure that the antenna is fully extended on each end. This will allow the antennas dipoles to be fully extended for better reception. The antenna must be connected to the TV and connected to a power source always in order for the antenna to function properly. You will need to scan for channels on your TV. This is a very important step. Your TV will NOT receive signals from the antenna without doing a channel scan. We recommend that you see you TV’s menu screen for this process or refer the instruction manual that came. You can use a website like www.tvfool.com to find the direction your signals are coming from and position the antenna where it is facing toward the tower, as well as, positioning the antenna as high off the ground as you can. The repositioning will allow for optimum reception. It is important that you rescan your channels once the antenna has been repositioned. If you are still not able to access any channels, your antenna may be over amplifying the signal. We recommend that you switch the amplifier to the OFF position behind the antenna and rescan for channels again

    I was attempting to escape that Dish bill since I seldom watch anything but the local stations. My friend in Boston bought one and loved it. It flat out DID NOT WORK for me. I am surrounded by woods, so that might be a factor. Needless to say, I retuned the item.

Depending on your location regarding terrain, elevation, etc. and depending on the location of the transmitters for your local stations will determine in large part, the type of antenna required to pull in the stations. Both your general location and the specific area that the antenna is located can affect reception. The distance, terrain and obstacles (buildings, power lines, etc.) between you and the signal tower greatly affect the strength of the signal that reaches you. Where you locate the antenna in the room can also affect the strength of the signal that you receive. In general the higher you locate the antenna the better signal you will get. You can use a website like www.tvfool.com to find the direction your signals are coming from and locate the antenna closer to that direction.     No, I would not recommend this to a friend ! I could only pick-up ten (10) stations with two (2) in English, QVC and the Home-Shopping Network, all the rest were in Spanish and Asian languages ! Disappointing, because I wanted to Cut the Cable !

    This antenna is unable to pick up channels within 60 miles as stated. The four channels it manages to pick up are blurry and images freezes often. I would invest in a better antenna.

    This gave us 4 channels Keep in mind nothing you'd watch some Latino channel and some church channels nothing that you want to watch when spending this much on an antenna. Very disappointed we returned it!!!

    It only picked up three obscure channels, none of which I watch. I'm in an urban area, and no channel from a major network was available.

    Our experience was it didn't work. We tried many angles and spots but couldn't get it to give us more than 2 stations. Took it back.

    Did not work for my tv. Ended up using 'clear tv' antenna which was half the price and got ALL channels in the area.
