This watch does more then I ever expected. My only problem is the wristband is not made for us large wristed people. For those of you with big wrist there is a youtube video showing how to modify the band. Other then that you can't go wrong with this watch.

I first bought the Pebble Steel, after passing on pre ordering the Gear 2 Neo. I sold the Pebble Steel after two days and immediately ordered the Gear 2 Neo in black. I can't stop smiling now!! This watch is far above what I even expected. The screen is colorful & sharp. I love the fact I can make phone calls from the Gear 2 Neo. For just that fact it is well worth the $$. It's a wonderful feeling that I could call 911 quickly in an emergency without having to go grab my Galaxy S4.

This is my favorite fitness watch to use with my devices. Yes it only works with Samsung devices but I have a Samsung device. So I love it! and it doesn't have the stupid camera making the price less and more affordable. I recommend this!

I kept my distance from the Gear line up since day one... always thought it was too pricey and probably not ready for prime time, just because of comments I heard from other people. My daughters saw me peeking at the Fit model, I was curious about it, that's all... and they assumed I wanted one and got me one for Father's Day... and what an eye opener!! Snappy, sleek and simply useful. Later I realize that the Neo model costs the same, and has more features, so I exchanged the fit for the Neo, and well.... LOVE IT EVEN MORE. The bigger screen is amazing, and it even has a built in speaker phone... surprisingly good. I will be using it while driving... lol. Way to go Samsung...

I bought this watch 2 weeks ago and I knew I wanted to get healthy, but had no idea how un-healthy I was. I didn't realize if I didn't walk 10,000 steps every day I was only walking a total of 18 minutes. 18 minutes! Are you kidding me? I have now increased my walking to over 10,000 steps every day and the little coin achievements may be silly but I look forward to getting mine every day. How is your sleep? This thing was able to tell me my amount of motionless sleep and it explains sooooo much! I realized on nights I meet my 10,000+ steps, I sleep more soundly then when I don't. If you are serious about getting healthy, this is the product for you. Also, if you don't like the looks of it, it's a real watch, so you can switch out the bands unlike the Gear Fit. A few of the associates tried to tell me it had a camera, but it does not and really, why would you want one on your watch? I will probably be getting the scale that syncs with it once I'm comfortable seeing the TRUE results and having them recorded.

    Needs improvement

I've only had this watch for a few days. My biggest issue with this is that it uses S-Voice for commands. S-Voice needs a lot of improvement. An option to use Google voice instead would greatly improve functionality.I cannot begin to tell you how many times S-Voice messes up a command. This phone also does not have a way to edit text or manually type a message. Having to rely solely on S-Voice is frustrating.Overall, this watch also has a very cheap feel. I will most likely be returning this watch and exchanging it with a metal watch that uses Android Wear instead.

    poor quality/short product life

I bought this product for my husband for father's day last year (about 8 months ago). The watch worked perfectly, good battery life, and my husband was really excited with the item. He would always recommend it to whoever asked about it. Last weekend, the holes that hold the band gave up and broke, called Samsung and they said that it is not covered by the warranty. really? why? now he is stuck with a useless really expensive itemthat only lasted 8 months. Lame.

    Great Device

I got this watch and was so excited to try it out. Everything about it is great. The pedometer is so inaccurate though. I only took about 10 steps and it was already at 71, then 3 more steps and it went to 94. The speaker is very clear though. People don't even realize I'm not speaking into the device. The S voice text feature is a little wonky though but I'm sure with time it will get better. The sleep feature didn't seem to work but maybe I did something wrong. Either way I'm pretty happy with my purchase.

    Can not replace the battery

Watch was great for my Samsung phone. Battery stopped charging and I was told by Samsung service it would cost $160 to get the battery replaced. A brand new watch is $130. If yours dies, no one will fix it for you.

I love everything about this device. Good apps for fitness and hands-free driving. I can text message to everyone via voice from this device. The only bad thing I encounter would be the wristband design, since I have small wrist it take couple time to lock it.

This watch would be the best smart watch available if Samsung used Android Wear for their OS instead of their own Tizen. What a shame.

    Technology not quite there yet!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The idea behind this watch is great, however the implementation is not quite there yet. Charging the battery requires an attachment to be clipped on to the back of the watch. If you lose it, theirs no way to charge the watch. Pedometer and Heart rate monitor and sleep monitor are not even close to being accurate. I used the exercise function before I ran (twice) and when I was done the time of excercise was accurate but said I had burned 1 calorie after running for 30 minutes. The ability to reject or answer calls without pulling out your phone is great, also reading brief e-mails and texts. But the watch doesn't hold a charge long enough and drains your phones battery as well. Watch display isn't always illuminated either, when I want the time I want to be able to look at my watch without raising and lowering my arm. I'm sure in the future these things will be worked out, but for me this watch doesn't justify the $200 cost.

I received this very cool watch yesterday and was super excited to start using it. The first thing I noticed is that the wristband was tight and I couldn't extended it further. I decided to charger it up and wear it as I slept because it will track how well you sleep. When I woke it the top half of the watch would not respond to my touch and I had to power the device off before it would function properly. As I wore it through the day it would randomly pop off my wrist and it only took one day before the clasp will no longer latch. I'm not sure what I will do now the wristband is replaceable and I have no desire to go back to the tight Samsung version. So I'm stuck with a new watch I can't wear and more money to spend before I can. I know what your thinking I must have a super large wrist but I don't I am 6'2 and have a beer belly but not a fat wrist. Samsung can make a phone too larger to fit in my jean's pocket but they can't make a watch to fit my fairly normal size wrist. I'm sad!

So I bought this mainly to review. I would keep if I was pleasantly happy, but I'd return if not. Hence I am returning. I'm one who loves new technology and looks to try new things adapting readily to changes. As I technology guy I felt this watch just wasn't enough to keep me interested more that 30 minutes. The lack of functionality, apps is enough for me to say no thanks. The GUI is nice, but has its quirks. For non-tech person I feel you will get frustrated rather quickly. The instructions aren't very in-depth so if you don't have a intuitive sense of where or how something might work sorry I think you'll be not satisfied. Good luck to all where venture out to try this and maybe you'll have a different opinion.

Gear 2 NEO ***WARNING!!!DO NOT BUY!!!

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

My gear 2 NEO's sound stopped working. I don't shower with it, and maybe only get splashed from occasional rain or when washing dishes etc. I called Samsung and did the troubleshooting. I was asked if there's water damage, I said no. So I was told to send it in. A week later, I get an email saying its not under warranty, and that I need to pay $161 to repair. Mind you, I paid only $199 for it new. I asked about the "water resistant" advertised and was told that it will still get water damage, so basically, you cannot get type of moisture on this watch whatsoever...even sweating on it can damage it...so I told Samsung to Just send back and I will post my experience instead. DO NOT BUY THESE WATCHES FROM SAMSUNG!!! They will break within 6 months and It's under Samsung discretion to deny warranty. My $20 Timex is still ticking, and it's over 10 years old! Samsung support contacted me but kept insisting that the watch is water resistant to 1M for 30 minutes, even though the fine print tells you that the watch cannot get wet, even a splash.again, if you buy this watch, you will regret it...prepare to throw it away! Samsung support is also very condescending.

If your average size be prepared to buy another band. I'm 5 11 and weigh 215. Vibration is weak. Maybe Samsung will offer longer bands.

Great watch for all 7 hours the battery lasted

The watch was great while the battery lasted. Got it out of the package yesterday, charged it overnight and took it to work. Off the charger at 6a.m. and by 1pm it was shutting off due to critically low battery. I am a RN so I had the pedometer feature on and that was about it. I didn't make any calls or respond to any text. Literally nothing but view maybe 10 text messages on the watch and the pedometer feature. I even turned off the the watches ability to turn the screen on when it thought I was looking at it. Still made it 7 hours before it pooped. Now Best Buy is telling me its sold out and I'm out of luck. Elite Plus Member normally that will be taking my business elsewhere.
