Unfortunately, the one I bought was a disaster. Although it and boot it Up, when I attempted to put in a pin number it would not except any alpha or special characters, only numeric. Additionally, you could not validate the pin numeric that you selected, even after multiple attempts. In other words I had no choice but to take it back. My suspicion is the quality control with these products it’s just a bit nonexistent . I’m guessing they just throw these things together and hope that not too many of them are returned. Too bad. But I won’t be getting another one. It’s not like I was expecting too much.

From what you have described here, it sounds like you may have had number lock turned on when setting up your device, therefore you were prompted for a PIN rather than a password. This is the worst laptop I ever get and will never try it again.

Excellent Value in a Small Package

Somewhat small screen (14") but the resolution is excellent. This 'no frills' computer is an excellent value.

It is 8 months old. So very sad to pay $250 and it only last 8 months. Battery life, speed, and display reviews are from when it was working.

After charging the battery, then turning it on after logo came up it stated something about preparing repairs to upload. Then it would just go black. Sadly no one a Best Buy could help me figure out a solution. Very disappointing.
