Years of waiting and uncertainty over whether or not this game would come to fruition have come to pass; rendering possibly my new favorite game. As many others have stated, this game is what we all wanted from the Assassin's Creed franchise, but done with a more focused style and fluidity. The controls are mostly intuitive, the combat is cinematic even in the early stages of the game when you lack most of your abilities, the world is breathtaking and full of hidden curiosities and scenic vistas (I find myself using the photo mode more than I did in Odyssey, Origins, or any other such game that has the function), and the story is compelling beyond that I've seen in recent games (looking at you RDR2). It doesn't have much of the typical open world RPG padding, such as a grind for materials/gear or repetitive "fetch" quests, but has it's lasting appeal rooted in the story, combat, and aesthetic. Most of the materials you require to upgrade equipment comes naturally with the completion of quests and exploration (having said that, "supplies' and other resources can feel scarce at the beginning of the game, but is quickly remedied with the right charm and progression through side quests and the main story). Having rambled enough, this is the samurai game I've been waiting for since I was a child and the wait did not disappoint. Pick it up if you haven't already!

I absolutely loved this game! I have no complaints. The storyline and quests were fun and exciting. The imagery and scenes were vast and beautiful. Not overloaded with map quests. The ability to choose your fighting style was amazing. Very great game. I am hoping they come out with a sequel or at least extra dlc for players in the future. 10/10 would recommend.

You couldn't ask for a better feudal Japan setting game, and one surprisingly made by a Western developer. Immaculate detail and attention were clearly given to even the smallest of details. Absolutely gorgeous game, a slow in the beginning but ultimately emotionally fulfilling story and some really fun and unique battles. Do yourself a favor and pick this up.

One of the best I have played this generation I clocked around 50 to 55 hours to get the Platinum and never did it feel like a slog, or boring. The art direction is gorgeous with incredible movement throughout the world. While there isn't much innovation in the way of new gameplay, everything is simply firing on all cylinders. An excellent swan song for the PS4.

One of the best games of this generation. The story line and side missions are really good. The only game I platinumed. They even added a free DLC which is multiplayer. The only negative to this game is the camera controls. It’s sometimes too close, and you might not see your character for a few secs. But that’s very rare. An all round excellent game.

I seldom play games that I love from the moment I start playing it. And this one is not an exception. I love this game so much that I finished it with a platinum trophy. I can't wait for the second ghost of tsushima game. Game play, controls, replayability, costume, graphics and sound are superb! This is My game of the year!
