Posted .Hi John, thank you for posting your review on your Nest Audio and we're sorry to hear that your experience with the device was less than ideal when it comes to how fast it responds to your voice commands. We suggest that you retrain your Nest Audio to better recognize your voice as this may help with voice control. We also suggest adjusting the Hotword sensitivity as it may also be helpful with the issue. You may follow the steps below to help improve your experience:
Retrain Voice Match:
- On your phone or tablet, open the Google Home app.
- At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial and then Assistant settings and then Voice Match.
- Tap Teach your Assistant your voice again and then Retrain.
Change Nest Audio's Hotword sensitivity:
- Open your Google Home app.
- Select your Nest Audio.
- At the top right, tap the Settings (Gear) icon.
- Then tap Audio.
- Then tap "Hey Google" sensitivity and adjust the slider to make your Nest Audio more responsive to the Hotword.

It's a light shade while still being very green. Sound quality is very good from this speaker. Very happy with purchase.

The mic does a great job picking up audio requests even with TV noise in the same room. I paired it with another Nest Audio for stereo sound. More than loud enough to fill a 300 sq ft room.
