good camera for a beginner

If you're looking for a cloud base camera and willing to pay the ten dollar per month per camera charge for stored video history this is your camera.

Except once it did not alert to someone walking into the backyard but alerted to them walking out of the backyard... Mind you I have this indoor camera facing out a window to record outdoor activity on a patio in the backyard... but still! It has been faithfully alerting to every blowing of a branch in the wind up to that point, and then suddenly, it doesn't catch a body entering my backyard?
