Excellent product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've only had my Nest camera a short time, but it's been excellent so far. Setup was straightforward and easy. The video quality is very good, but does get a little grainy when zoomed in. The night vision of this camera is awesome, if that's important to you. The camera and base seem to be really good quality, with the base being metal. I has a microphone and speaker, so listening and talking through the camera are possible. Both are more sensitive than I expected. The Nest app is fine, have had zero problems with it so far. There is a bit of lag time on the video, but it's only a couple of seconds and is not unlike any of these systems. I initially decided to go with the Samsung camera and onboard recording with a micro sd card, but then I read a review that mentioned if the camera is stolen, there goes any recordings as well. Opted to go with the Nest instead, happy I did. My fiance is even happy with it, that says a lot! She can navigate the Nest app with ease and likes that she can check in on the dog throughout the day. All-in-all an excellent system that I'm happy with.
