I pay for the 5-day archive and to me, it is worth it. The cost to archive is a little expensive and I think Nest could do better here. However, the cameras are all solid and reliable. I give it a 3 based on the cost of monitoring otherwise functionality is a 5-star rating. You do not have to pay for the archive feature but I like it so I take the hit.

Worth the monthly price

I recently replaced my Ring doorbell with the Nest and just loved it. These are no different. I absolutely love the continuous recording as I found my Arlo cameras would sometimes not catch the whole story. Set up is easy...video quality is great. I still have Arlos outside because I don't want to run power to those areas but I make break down and replace all with Nest.
