The nest-cam indoor security cameras were quick and very easy to setup. Plug into your computer until camera is recognized and then plug into the location where you are setting up the camera. I used my laptop for assistance in positioning the cameras until I had the view I desired for final setup. The cameras provide wide angle view of a room. The nest website is also very easy to use in creating an account and viewing the camera feeds. You are able to view live feed or historical feeds on the website or on the phone application. Notifications can be set up for movements within the field of view of camera. Very good picture and clarity during the daytime. It takes more strain to view nighttime feeds. My only recommendations would be to make these cameras wireless and to enhance night vision. Otherwise it was a good buy.

My old Foscam IP cameras were starting to fail after 3 years. I was on the hunt for a new camera to keep an eye on the kids and the NestCam kept popping up on my searches. The image quality is worlds away from the old Foscam setup I had. From the start, the wide-angle lens was perfect to capture the entire playroom from wall to wall (never was able to capture that much with the Foscam). The connection has always been constant and I have never had an issue where I can't view the camera away from home. Setup was a breeze, accessing the video feed away from my home network was simple and easy. I didn't have to fuss with my router settings as I did with my Foscams. I will be adding more NestCams around the house for security reasons.

I purchased a few of these for my home in the hopes that if I had a problem I would be able to use the footage. 2 of my cameras are position for an inside view and 2 for an outside view. My car was broken into last week so it was my chance to put this to use - the outside videos at night were not very good - Since the cameras cannot be installed outside, they are positioned against a window and because the night vision "lights" reflect against the window , they have to be turned off (I do have to say they work great at night inside though). The driveway and road views are well lit with street lights so figures were clearly visible (athough it took me hours to find the footage because the activity zones did not catch activity) but nothing that can be used to identify the thieves. As I mentioned, the movement was not detected so this is a major negative for this system - I pay $25 a month for my 4 cameras to store footage for 10 days and I have set up "activity zones" so I think there should be a better way to access footage. Seriously disappointed in that aspect. The good points are that it does take clear video in the house and the activity zones in the house work well. I purchased these cameras initially to monitor activity inside the home and they were great but now that I have changed their purpose, they don't work as well...

After my dogs DEMOLISHED my Christmas tree, I was on a mission to get camera's to monitor their nonsense. I researched several other options but decided that the Nest camera's would be best as I already have a Nest thermostat - their interfaces also link up to my AT&T Security system and App. The install was super easy and the mounting hardware allows for a very simple and sleek look. Hiding the wires is easy and overall I am very pleased with the camera. Linking up to the app was so simple. I chose to sign up for the 10 day retention subscription. Reviewing video and taking snap shots are so simple. I would highly suggest these camera's to all homeowners looking for added security and monitoring in their homes.

We bought the Nest camera system to monitor a remote warehouse. I’ve never setup a camera system and was a little nervous. We bought the three camera set and it could not have been easier. The instructions fit on one page and consist of maybe three sentences. But, that’s all that was needed. It was so easy and so intuitive. And the magnetic backs work well for many surfaces, and work perfectly when the mounting bracket is used. The monitoring software works very well, both on the PC and the mobile app. And, the picture and sound quality are very good. We’re very happy with this purchase and will be buying another for our next warehouse.

This camera is very simple to setup and use. Resolution is not bad but the frame rate seems to be a bit slow. When monitoring the camera if you see someone enter a hallway you don't see them walk down the hall, you see them at the entrance and maybe once more before they are out of view. It is not like watching a video feed as you might think is should be. It is more like watching a series of still pictures. These comments apply to the review of stored video via the on line service which is free for a month then $100 year after that. It is not clear on the box but you definitely need the online service otherwise you will not be able to review any historic video which will be needed if you have a break-in etc. I think it could be improved and I expected a bit more for the price but it is supposed to be one of the best and I did find it to be very useful while on vacation.

This camera was a great purchase, we were looking for a high def camera for 1 location that had dvr cloud capabilities and not a $2k system. its clear, good quality on both phone and ipad as well as computer desktop.

I was really surprised how easy this was to install and get immediate results. The images are very clear in daylight and complete darkness. The app works better on the Android phone than on the browser, as there is some delay with the browser. It is a little strange to walk out of the camera range and into the other room, look at the monitor and see yourself still in the picture.

this cam is so easy to setup, it only took me a min or two from plug in to see the video on my phone, and the video quality is very good. it works perfect for me to monitor whats happening at home when i m not there.

Already had one nest camera and added a second one to provide more coverage of our house. My only complaint would be the extra fee for each camera if you pay for the recording service. Not much of a discount break for each additional camera. Otherwise a great indoor camera if you need to monitor things.

I had been kicking around the idea of a security camera for a while and looked at a number of options. Ultimately, the Nest camera won out. Setup was a breeze and the image quality is excellent. The camera does go offline for a few minutes a couple of times a day, but I suspect that’s an issue with my network and not the camera. It comes with a free month of Nest Aware, the subscription service that lets you go back through your footage. They have a couple of different tiers ranging from 5 days of stored footage to 30 days. Clips generated from your footage stick around forever and can be downloaded. All around, a darn good product.

I bought a set of 3 but only wanted 2. Had a friend that has them and they work amazing. I’ve been able to see everything that I wanted to be able and know that my home is safe. The membership is a little upsetting but unless you would really need it you would be fine with just seeing 3hrs of time.

This security camera is very easy to install. The video is very clear and can pick up a wide range. It covers the entire front of the house including the street. This is a great buy for the price.

I’ve used these cameras for years, and they are great! They record video and sound, and the night vision is amazing. Installation was really easy, and their new plan is really good - - about $12.00 per month for up to 10 cameras, no extra charge. The videos are available from the cloud for about two weeks, which gives plenty of time to review, and you can save clips on your own computer. Even if someone broke in and stole the cameras, they can’t delete the storage. And when I travel, I can look at all my cameras at once with my phone.

One of the best cameras I've ever owned. The live feed is a live feed, no skipping. The app alerts you on motion. It has a mic and a speaker. Not only can you hear what's going on but you can talk to the people in the room too. And there's night vision.
