While a solid camera with good software, it often reports false positives. It doesn't have a good sense of what it spots, just that it spots something, so you might get a notice for a bug or an intruder.

Works well when natural day light is coming through the home. At night when the lights are off or on in other rooms, camera has a ghost like image showing.

Not a fan. Should have stuck with ring. I don’t really like the video footage access. The camera stays pretty hot

Decent little camera. Good quality display. Wish it had a little more "fisheye" view to it but not bad. Easy to install with google home app.

The Nest Cam started out as a really great product back when they were known as DropCam. Unfortunately with each passing year Google/Nest continues to erode the things that made these cameras so great. In recent updates they've enabled a light on the front of the camera that blinks any time you are watching the feed live. Same for the doorbell; it's like a beacon that lets any potential burglar know if someone is actually paying attention to their camera or not -- a terrible design. There have been constant changes to the subscription service and costs. They redesigned the way the cams login in such a way that you can no longer use the Apple TV app to view these cameras. And finally, the notification and clip preview features, the only things this camera really needs to know how to do, work so much more poorly compared to the old Drop Cam days... it seems to catch a lot less motion and moving through the video is just a lot clunkier than the old days.

Good camera but alot of the useful alerts you get only come with a paid subscription. I would have went with arlo but they're taking too long to get their smart locks

When I read about this product from review, it sounded like it can work with internal network without internet connection. But it is not. Also, it has 5 seconds delay even with fast internet connection.

I like the Nest Indoor Cam. However without subscribing to Nest Aware ($$$), you will get minimal recording history and there is no way to record to your own storage device.

The angle of view could be wider. Or if I could scan left to right like on my old one that would be good. Also, sometimes the feed is in color and sometimes it is black and white - what's with that???

The camera has good access when you are away which is a plus. However, the online chatter about the security challenges are not promising especially if one is not savvy.

I had my Nest cam for a month and it's stopped working. The Nest tech support has been horrible. I'm going to return the cam and try again. If it fails again, I'm going to give up on Nest.

Works as stated, good build quality. However the premium features require subscription, which for something that is already expensive, is crazy. Nest app sometimes slow.

I use this for outdoors. It has a great picture and great features. However, it picks up cars going by or even bugs but won't pick up people standing a few feet from the camera. Strange.

I thought I would really like this as I love me thermostat. I did not realize that there was a monthly fee to review and store footage. It was not for me so I took it back.

If you have cut the cord and have choosen to make your home into a goolge home, this security camera is good compliment.

This nest products work great for the first 30 days during the free trial. Then they want you to pay for a monthly service. I would give the nest 2.5 star after free trial ends

Recording wasn't long enough for what I needed it for

At least for me the picture is not real clear and when zoom is used it really loses definition. But I enjoy using them to check in.

Whenever I turn on the hallway light or the bathroom light (the camera is in the nursery) my phone gets an alert. This camera is extremely sensitive to light changes.

The cameras were fine for daytime, but the night vision is not clear. Also, Arlo’s subscription is not reasonably priced, in my opinion.
