I can’t figure out how to get notifications on my phones swell as my wife’s phone. If that worked I would give higher star rating.

As advertised, the installation was a snap. The *real* plug-n-play device these days. It doesn't really have a setup hardcopy instruction enclosed with the product, but I think that's largely due to the fact of the product's installation ease. Take it out of the box, connect to your computer (or power source if setting up with your smartphone, tablet, etc..# If computer, it should automatically give you a setup prompt i.e. log personal info, Wi-Fi info, etc..then presto - connects you to your camera #For smartphone, tablets, etc...you just need to get their app, make sure the camera is plugged in to a power source, and it'll have you do the same as if you're on your computer). Once you have the setup done, unplug from your computer and connect to your designated location's power source. The camera itself is great. I said slightly exceeded for no other reason than I wished they could've done away with the power cord somehow. It's unsightly and thus restrict your choices to set the camera at. It also doesn't have a panning feature that can control the camera angle remotely. It's on a fixed angle. Additionally, their video archiving storage subscription had gone up from the amount people were saying on other reviews. I opted for the rolling 10-day instead of the 30-day storage. 10-day option is now $100.00/yr. $300.00/yr for 30-day. Overall though, I'm very happy with it. 2 thumbs-up for me! I chose this over ARLO after personal evaluation. ARLO is 100% wireless, which is a nice feature.

At first I liked this camera because it worked great with the 30 day trial subscription. I intentionally didn't buy the extended service just to see how the video clips worked without it. It didn't work at all. It said there would be access for 3 hours, but there where no video clips. I called and their support said I had to buy the monthly subscription to see or save clips. I went out and immediately bought a competitors (Arlo) camera and now I'm happy. No subscription.

it got poor connect to the internet. I put next to my wifi, but it does not work, I also have Nest for IC, it works all fine, but the camera was super bad.

Works very well, but super sensitive to sunlight so you will get constant notifications if the camera is in a position to see changes in sunlight.

This is one of the simplest and easiest setup I have ever gone through, you download the Nest app, input your network passcode and within 60 seconds you can access the video feed, there is no additional steps to access the video from outside your network of modifying your router ports, nothing, the recording service (Nest alert) is a great tool, where you can record activity in the cloud, again no setup is needed, this product has taken all of the technical guesswork from the usual setup, outstanding product. Additionally, the video quality is great with the options to go from 720 to 1080 resolution within get the app. Only complaint (if you can call it that) is the buffering time since you are pulling the history files from the cloud, you will consume significant bandwidth when streaming at high resolution.

the camera has good resolution, but due to bandwidth constraints, only one camera at a time will work on my network. Unfortunately, I bought 3 of them.

I never ordered the Nest Cam. I went through this several weeks ago with someone on the phone. It seems that a person might have used my Rewards Card Number so I was not charged but it still aggrevates me to get info about the camera. I was told that it was all taken care of/fixed ... obviously not! The Fitbit is fine thought but we bought it though Fitbit not Best Buy.

Cameras work well, but the system does not recognize when I am home or away. It is constantly detecting non-existant movement , therefore false alarming

When it works it's fine. Disconnects daily and I hate the fact there's a fee to save video. I'd look for a cheaper option.

When I purchased the cameras I was told there was a monthly fee, what they didn't tell me it was per camera. I returned mine for a refund

It was a good item. Liked it. Without neat subscription its not that effective

used to be better when it wasn't made by nest. not as clear in my opinion

Why you have to pay for an additional service to back up your videos is beyond me.

Very disappointed, nowhere did I read you only have a month to view your activity. After that, unless you pay a monthly fee you will only view a picture not the whole activity that set the camera off. Stick with Arlo cameras, at least they don’t charge you as long as you keep up on deleting your activity. Nest camera very misleading.

This s a great camera, but the technology is severely lacking. I received too many erroneous notifications and finally had to return it.

Decided we did not need them at this time. Best Buy was great and returned them even when we were 1 day past the Elite Plus return time.Thanks

Great Security camera, but kind of pricey. only cloud recording, wash they have locate recording.

hard to hear outgoing voice. the speaker low. it would been better if there's a speaker volume. the camera does not turn or move around.
