The Nest camera is a fantastic product. I currently have the Thermostat and Protect and have been looking for a camera to keep an eye on my dog when I'm gone. I bought this when it went on sale and it was been AMAZING! The picture is great whether you're watching on your phone or laptop and the ability to speak into the room or hear what is going on is terrific. There are plenty of ways to make it function how you'd like (ie. chime, light, away notifications, etc.) that make it indispensable, I'm even thinking of getting a second one.

This camera has excellent picture quality and was super easy to install. The install took less than 5 minutes.

The nest cam is a good cam but the fact that it's always connected to the cloud can be a tad combersome. Plus the fact that you have to pay for a yearly subscription if you want to capture your clips. A pretty rudimentary function for a camera. Without their subscription you can not record clips.. STUPID.. Dinged a star for it but should've taken 2. The good news is the integration with other nest devices which you would expect to be spot on.

Unreal easy to set up and connect to your phone or computer. Images are sharp even in 720p. Great two way audio feature.

Excellent cameras, App is very easy and intuitive.

We originally purchased the petcam camera to spy on our new dog but we were not impressed. Returned it and went with the next camera. For the same price the value is incredible. Highly recommend this camera. Way better quality pictures. Amazing app and camera interaction and the cloud recording allows you to go back and review specific things your pet was doing at any given time. The app will even alert you when they step into a specific zone.

Really good camera and it does what it says .. Simple .. I like the microphone and speaker feature in this camera .. you can talk while you are 2000 miles away from your home :)

This product works great. But it costs $10 minimum a month to operate it (Have to pay for Nest Cloud services). I ended up returning it and buying the Netgear Arlo instead. The picture quality is not quite as good, but there are no monthly fees and it works outside as well. Much happier without the monthly fee!

I bought this camera two weeks ago and has met all my expectations. I use it at 720p and I can check my house from my phone at any time.

Really easy and smooth installation just like with everything else Nest does. App is universal (any browser on any OS, apps for iOS and Android). For those who want to keep a record and archive footage you can store it in a cloud for a reasonable price. However there is a delay in image, which is preventing me from giving them 5 stars.

Better camera than Cox camera in terms of ease in mounting and adjustment to be made afterward for desired area coverage. The system is easy to turn on and off by iPhone. Best feature of all is I do not have to pay for the monthly service fees if I only want to live-stream remotely.

Trust me when I tell you the Nest is more work than not. Let me start with I bought the 3 pack camera and thermostat. One camera never worked, it's not hard to get the Nest up and running the problem is keeping it running. I bought Nest to control the heat/ AC and view the workers in the house 1600 miles away from my stationary home until we retire. Thank goodness my sister lives in the area because she is constantly unplugging the cameras and restarting them because they go offline often and I can't control the AC or heat from my iPhone, or view anyone in the home. Also after I owned them for 3 months I couldn't get the recording, unbeknownst to me I have to purchase a yearly fee for EACH camera at a whooping 100 bucks a year EACH for 8 mins of recording time should the camera pick up any motion in the house. HUGE HUGE rip off. But there bought and used for 3 months. Hmmm perfect for Nest. I would not recommend buying. I'm now looking for another option that will work consistently.

The cloud storage cost is extremely high per camera. Especially if you have more than two or three cameras. The cost is so high that I returned the cameras and instead went with my cable companies security system. Plus if you're looking to get a little discount on your homeowners insurance, the nest cameras will not qualify because it is not considered a "security monitoring system" unlike my cable companies who is considered a security monitoring system. A subscription that covers 10 days of continuously recorded video costs $10 a month or $100 a year for the first camera. Each additional camera costs $5 a month or $50 a year. A 30 day history costs $30 a month for the first camera, or $300 for the year. Do the math if you want 2, 3, 4, 5 or more cameras. It's insanely high pricing. Now there is a free option with the camera. The huge downside is with the free cloud storage, you do not get motion alerts and it only saves 3 hours of recording per camera. There is no way to set the camera up to record locally. Nest does not offer the api's to third parties that would allow this type of recording. If you have the cash to pay the subscription fees, I really thought the cameras offered nice video. The nest app is probably the best security system app I have ever seen too. It's very reliable and very user friendly. In all, the costs are way too high. On top of the high costs of the cameras, around $500 for 3, and the high costs of the subscriptions.... I would never recommend this product to anyone.

I bought this camera as a security camera for when I'm away from home and it is great! The High Resolution is great, everything is shown very clear, also the view angle is excellent, I cover all of my hall entrance with 1 camera. The warnings are also great, as you can get an email whenever a movement is detected, so you don't need to be all the time in front of your phone or tablet checking what is going on. Finally, the only negative point is that nest doesn't offer the video storage service in México, so I don't have a way to store video and keep it for reference or any other reason for that matter, it is frustrating. I hope this helps take your decision.

I wish I'd purchased a real cam security system instead. I use this to monitor an ill family member requiring 7x24 monitoring. It works great when it does, more often than not, the picture freezes, camera drops or their system gets overloaded leaving me with the black screen. When I get notice that it senses motion, chances are 50/50 that I might get service. I consider it a waste of money, their thermostat has never failed me which is the reason for this purchase. Customer service exists if you have time to sit out the wait. Very disappointing.
