I love this camera; so much that I bought three of them. The yearly fee is reasonable, the quality is excellent, and the app is very user friendly (although it can be glitchy at times). Only problem is they do not have an outdoor version, or I would have given them 5 stars. You can by a Dropcase outdoor case, which I have and has worked great, but it'll cost you an extra $50-$75. I have researched many of the security cameras and found this to be the best.

Nest cameras almost speak for themselves. Wide compatibility with Apple, Android and a web service that allows you to view your cameras anytime anywhere. Setup is a breeze, simply shooting a pic of the QR code on the back connects it to the app and you're good to go. Just need a free power outlet. New plans coming soon from Nest Aware will make this investment even cheaper.

I have these all over my house. They are perfect to use as a nannycam, baby monitor, or just generally as an indoor camera. I have at least six and have been very satisfied. I also like how they are compatible with other google products. And because they use Wi-Fi, I can check in on our home from anywhere; at work or on vacation!

I got my first Nest cam for the entryway in our apartment. Installation was easy, setup not so much, but I made it work. It disconnects pretty easily and sometimes I don't get notifications about noises or people entering our unit, even though I know that I should have because I tested it with my kids while being downstairs in the lobby. I didn't return it, I'm still using it, but I'm considering getting the monthly subscription to see if bugs can be fixed.

Very easy to install. Cameras have an amazing quality picture both day and at night.

Takes great pictures and the motion detection works very well. I use a hidden clock and it still works really well in it. The volume is low though.

Works pretty well and seems to have a good image, despite not being 4k. It may also look like it's made of plastic in the image, but the gunmetal grey portions are very solid/metal. There is a nice heft to it. This model is running on a few years old at this point and still uses micro-USB for it cable connection (which is a bit tight at the back)- All told, not an issue, though I imagine these will see an update soon enough

The nest app isn't as good as the old dropcam app as of 6/26/15. Much improved video quality over the 720p dropcam pro

I owned a previous version of this camera which was average. This one was very easy to set up, connect to my network and begin monitoring. Setting up zones and alerts was simple. Viewing via phone, or web is seamless. My only complaint was there was a little bit more "techie" knowledge required in order to maintain connectivity. Without that, it kept dropping from the network, and I would have to turn the camera off, and then on again to reconnect the feed. Unfortunately, during that time, the camera recordings only showed that the camera was "offline".

The install process was super easy, we have iPhones but I'm sure the process is the same for any Smart phone. I like the audio option but with the slight delay its not always ideal. Looked at other options and chose Nest as you are not tied to a contract.

Purchased 3 cams, setup easy, nighttime vision great, love text message option when motion or sound detected.

I've got mine tucked away atop a bookshelf. The video is very clear, color is crisp, the picture range is quite wide. The volume level is very good- I hear all. I was surprised to learn it has a speaker- so I am able to speak to anyone in the room via the app on my mobile phone sitting in my office at work over 20 miles away. As with all my other Nest products, install and WiFi hook up was easy.

love to be able to see during the night, or while away from home. Night vision very good. Very easy to install. notifications not too great however.

Thes3 cameras are easy to set up and very reliable. Great security for home, office, or vacation home.

Cool stuff. If folks go into a room there are lots of emails, but this can be tailored. Voice transmission is delayed and a little crackly. All this said am very happy with Nest.
