No dropped connections besides the occasional power outage at home which is not the camera's fault. It is clear, and picks up backyard movements when random geese/dogs walk by from neighbors. The subscription can be a turn off to some but for someone who watches these nest cams 100 miles from home, i feel they are very reliable and are a good pair of eyes to watch your house/backyard/neighborhood when you're away.
