Nest Outdoor Camera easy to set up great picture quality.

These Nest cameras are amazing. The installation and setup was a breeze. The image quality is spectacular. The cameras have great visibility in complete darkness. Setting up zones was super easy. My previous cameras were constantly annoying me with notifications. These cameras have the ability to recognize if the movements are being generated by a human or a shadow. These cameras send you notifications when there's actually something of interest. Having the ability to communicate via the camera microphone is a great feature. I'm so glad I made this purchase. Now I know what's going on around my home at all times.

Easy to install and use within the nest app. Very clear, good night vision and love the ability to zoom in and save clips to share or save for later.

Easy to install and app interface is easy to use. Only gave four stars due to the power cord could be a slimline instead of node on end which is harder to drill install through a wall or house and being a clean feed through. I bought two cameras and found that nest charges for additional cameras to monitor so monthly rate is $15 for two $10 for first camera and$5 for second can get pricey for more.

I recently moved and needed camera coverage. I had a camera system at my previous home. Through this, I learned what functions were important to me in a camera system. After much research and even a little trial and error with other systems, I happily landed on the Nest Outdoor Camera. The wide angle view is very important to me because it provides the visibility you would expect which essentially means you need fewer cameras to cover the same area. It turns out Nest has one of, if not the, widest angle views. The other thing I liked is that it has audio. You would think this is a feature all cameras have. Not so much. Many camera systems with DVR setups wireless and/or wired do not have audio. Through the Nest app, you can adjust the sensitivity of the microphone. Niiice. The video clarity and the phone/computer app interface are great. Easy to use, easy to find motion activity, and easy to setup. It is comforting to be able to view it from anywhere on your cell phone. The automatic alerts give you piece of mind. The camera can distinguish between movement and people. The materials are high quality just as you would expect.

I have to say that it was easy to set up both cameras via my home Wi-Fi. The barcode on each camera makes it easy to set up and the video quality is outstanding. I love the fact that both cameras have speakers so you can hear and talk to whoever comes to your house. I wish the speaker was louder though because I could barely hear it when I was testing it especially if you live in a moderately noisy community. The other down side is the $10 per month if you want your videos saved in the cloud and have ability to play back. Without subscription you only get 3hrs of recording playback and I believe you don't get "person" notification. Make sure you have power source close by or else you might have to drill holes through walls. Overall the nest system works for me and serves my needs. I just want to see who is at my front and back doors and the ability to communicate with the person in real time.

I love these cameras!! Easy install and clear image

Bought these cameras for of course home security. They worked great up until a few weeks ago when they wouldn't connect to Nest. Their tech support literally knows nothing. They tried to blame my network when nothing on my network has changed since the day I bought these cameras and they worked for 4months or so before they just quit. I tried everything from resetting the cameras, resetting my network. Unplugging the cameras for hours, bringing my laptop up into my attic to connect them directly to nest instead of using there app. Called my internet provider and they said nothing was being blocked from there side. Anyways I tried for two weeks straight to get these to work and then all of a sudden two days they come back online. Without doing anything. I'm guessing it was a bug on their side that their "tech support" knew nothing of and their engineering department had to fix. Just a guess. Anyways when they work they work great. I am however a little upset I didn't know they were making a new IQ Outdoor camera that supports 4k and Tracking and better night vision.

GET THESE CAMERAS! Great quality. Great set up. Easy application. Nice intuitive app. ONLY drawback is the data usage. One camera can use upwards to 250GB in a month with 1080p setting and Nest Aware subscription.

The setup was easy and the camera has great video.

I wanted a simple but nice quality outdoor camera to give me a little peace of mind. This fits the bill nicely. The picture quality is very nice. The night vision is pretty good too but I wish it had a little better range at night. I have it positioned to look down my driveway about 30 ft. Installation was pretty easy. The one bad thing is that the USB connector has a large casing around it so you need to make a hole a little bigger than 1/2 inch in order to feed the wire & connector through a wall. As far as features, the one thing I'm not happy about is that you need a subscription in order to have better features like video recordings instead of picture snapshots. Overall it's a nice camera & I would recommend it. I saw that Ring has a new outdoor floodlight camera & I may have considered that if I wanted more light too, but I didn't really need that feature.

The camera system was easy to setup and install. The image is sharp and the night vision is great quality. I would recommend this to others looking for an easy home camera system.

I originally wanted these cameras because I own everything else made by Google and Nest, and I wanted to reduce the number of apps to control my smart house. I have fiber internet with a mesh network powered by Google Wifi, and I have at least 6 Nest Connect around the house to ensure that everything works properly. My home is less than 1600 sqft and everything I have is set to cover at least twice that size. The camera App and Experience is amazing, set-up and installation are easy and very pleasant. BUT, unfortunately, this is not a reliable security camera. If you are looking for casual security, maybe a camera to watch your dogs in the backyard, good quality video to do something else that is not serious security, I can recommend. But if you want reliability and a camera you can trust at all times, this is not it. The Wi-Fi drops at least 6-9 times per day, it comes back up in less than 6-7 minutes and some times less than 20. But the reason I decided to write the review today is that just a few hours ago, someone stole something from my front yard and I saw them through the window. It was nothing very valuable, it was a decoration and I am not a confrontational person at all. So I thought I had it all on camera. It turns out that just before the person arrived till like 2 minutes before the person left the camera decided to disconnect. We never know at what moment of our day we would need our camera to be working, and 2-5 mins 7-6 times per day may not seem much for most. It sure was enough to miss the yard thief today. AGAIN. It is a great product, it is good-looking, the app experience is great and installation is easy. Overall the quality of the product itself is SOLID. I also have an overkill Wi-FI set up to ensure I never lose signal at all times. So it could be a faulty set, but for now, until I can see if I can get a replacement. My suggestion is not to get this camera if you are serious about a 24/7 uninterrupted monitoring. And I want to point out. I am not a product Karen. I understand disconnections happen, wifi signal could be weak sometimes, and that maybe Wi-Fi is not a great security option overall. But when a product missed close to 2 hours per day when you have done everything and more to ensure it does not happen. It is not a good enough product for me. Or anyone who would like security at all.

Hands down the easiest security camera to install on the market. Excellent image quality. Completely user friendly and the app works perfectly every time. Blends in and looks very nice on my house.

Sure there are more expensive and better clarity outdoor security camera systems out there, but for me, the NEST Outdoor camera met my needs, proved to be a quick and easy self install and paid dividends first night after install, catching a burglary at a neighbors. Was able to use the screen and video grab features to send the homeowner evidence needed. Set up the remote smart device notifications so I am alerted when my camera sees activity or hears sound. All those features are adjustable and optional, so for what I consider a fair price I am in possession of a highly adjustable security system. Would recommend either linking to a recording device / hard drive or signing up for NEST Aware service.

I have been using the Nest(Dropcam) cameras for years. What keeps me a Nest customer has been the great customer service when needed, the awesome easy app, and high quality cameras. This new outdoor is very high quality, comes with the mounting hardware, and an extra durable long cord made for outdoor.
