If you're experiencing spotty connection or weak signal, we recommend checking your Wi-Fi network to see if your bandwidth is congested. This may happen if you have too many devices connected on the same bandwidth or if your network package is not enough to handle the data traffic on the network. Removing other connected devices to your Wi-Fi may relieve network congestion.
We also recommend these steps that may help:
- Make sure that the camera is plugged into a wall outlet and receives power.
- Check if the camera feels warm or cold. It may disconnect from Wi-Fi to help protect itself.
- Restart the camera, unplug the power adapter and wait for 10 seconds before plugging back in. You should see a solid green light on the front of your camera if it’s connected to your home Wi-Fi network.
- Restart your Wi-Fi router to refresh the connection. Unplug the power cord and wait for 30 seconds before plugging it back in.
- Perform a factory reset on your camera. If you have a Nest Aware subscription, make sure to save any important clips before performing a factory reset. Perfect for Outdoor Use

So I bought this one and it works great. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for an "outside" mounted wifi camera.
