We had 2 of these cameras at our old house, and bought more when we moved into our new house because we liked them so much

After installing the camera I was pleased with the quality and I especially loved the notifications. Little did I know that those notifications go away after the cloud trial period. Silly me, I thought the trial period was for the cloud based storage. Now, I have a device that not only does not record, but also it does not send me notifications. If I want notifications I need to spend an additional $100 per year. I have the nest thermostat and love it. I will most likely return the camera.

This works great with the app, just make sure to get nest aware so you can keep history or it is pretty much useless when not live.

Good camera. Easy to install. Sometimes wish there was a little more clarity, particularly when zooming in, but all-in-all would buy again.

I decided to wait to post my review after my 30-day free trial was over. OK! Here is my downfall about this camera. You have to pay yearly $100 for a 10-day recording or $300 for 30-day recording history. If you don't pay for the subscription. You will still get the alert notification on your phone or email account, but you’re not able to see any of the history. You’re able to log into your account and watch a LIVE stream on the camera "only" and that's it... I will say about the alert notifications 99% emails were 3-5 minutes delay. Not one was accurate timing. So for another words your $199 nest camera turned into $299 after your 30 day free trail + plus any additional $100 a year for renewal subscription. Nest does give you a 50% discount if you have any additional cameras added to your subscription. One valuable lesson I did learned - the Nest Cam has a Home/Away Assistance feature. This feature lets the device know when you’re away or at home. This will automatically turn on the camera or off the camera. But, it doesn't record while your home. I set this feature on my setting not realizing every time I came home. It turns off the nest camera from recording. My wife and I had are vehicles broken into when the device was turn off. Due to the Home/Away Assistance. Nothing was being recorded when 5 total strangers were going through our vehicles. (FYI - The suspects wear apprehended) I removed this feature ASAP. For $199 I've seen better cameras that do the same thing, even rotate and record 1080p on a micro-usb. With "NO" $100 annual subscription fees.

I loved this! Very easy to use and I had someone install it for me.

The cameras have a nice area coverage and allow for zoom. I like being able to do house checks while away. Still learning about the product capabilities and placements.

I’m a big Nest fan and own several of their products. This works great for outdoor usage to keep an eye on the house and yard while we’re away.

Aesthetically pleasing with a great quality feel that can be mistaken for an "Apple" product. Video and audio quality is good for keeping tabs on your property, but don't expect to read license plates at >50'.

This is our 2nd camera to support our primary outdoor Q camera. It has been reliable and way much better then the old Ring spotlight we had before.

Really great quality although it’s only 1080p; no need for the 4K version but that could be another Nest addition for the home. Worth the investment.

Camera system has created sense of security around house and entry ways. Good to be able to see what is going on property while at work and out of town.

My nest cameras did work and worked well until Nest must have sold to Google. When google took over the cameras they stopped working. We are paying for a subscription. We called google several times and they want to say it’s our WiFi. Then why did our cameras work with nest and now that google took over no more service. What a waste of money for no service!

Anything google beat is a great product. Only downfall with the camera, is it needs to be plugged in to an electrical outlet.

This camera is a top notch product, as long as it has a good wifi signal it works with no problems. I have 3 indoor nest and 3 outdoor. Great product and company.

I purchased this & mounted it over the garage to pick up the area that the Nest doorbell camera couldn't. Its a Nest product, don't need to say much more!

Really great option but it is very expensive. With competition ramping up, you might be able to find a more affordable option.

Bought for my in-laws because we have one and they were totally jealous. So now they have one too and theyre super happy about it.
