Installed 1st camera, had problems from day one with wifi dropping. Added a mesh system to improve wifi coverage to no avail. Wifi was continually dropping out, toward the end it dropped the signal so much that i just HAD it with the Nest cameras. When i replaced the security cameras at our home,i went to a POE setup and have been pleased. Also, the pixel quality for things like reading a license plate or graphics on side of a vehicle was terrible. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY on this. Also, installation "is just plug and play." They don't tell you that to plug it in requires you figuring out how to get their 3" hockey puck sized power adapter into the attic or wherever you're going to install it. It was a GLORIOUS day when i cut the cord on this camera and threw it in the recycle bin!!!

Bought this camera as a gift and realized the features and functionality available for free was limited. So returned for another option.

Personally I think they need to have more outdoor options for cameras. The wiring can’t be cut so you’d have to have it dangling and zip tied

Picture quality could be a lot better and sound quality is not good at all would be impossible to talk back and forth to person

I purchased these for a customer of mine so they would have access to their property while on vacation. I installed for cameras and only two of them worked. I replaced the two with new ones and they worked, but had issues connecting to Wi-Fi. I had to spend another $500 on an eero system to make them work. If I had known this from the beginning, I would not have purchased them. When they do work, they're great. Too many issues.

No one wants a camera mount that you can take a broom or stick and knock it off the mount.. No one wants a camera cable that you have to drill a 1/2" hole in the house to run the lines.. The wires should come out of the bottom of the base, hidden.. The camera itself is not secure! I bought one and returned it.. Poor design.. Needs multi-colors.. Brown, Cream, Chemo.. Houses outside have multi-colors..

I bought these cameras to monitor my property while I was out of the country. The cameras quit working 5 days into my trip. The internet went down for a short time and when it came back on, the cameras didn’t. My previous camera system always reconnected after an outage. For the price I paid, I expected this would not be a problem. Don’t buy these cameras if you’re looking for reliability and piece of mind.

I have good wifi but this drops out too much. App doesn't connect half the time. Returned. For this money should work a lot better.

I’m sure this is a great product. Unfortunately Best Buy Tech didn’t come prepared to install so we ended up returning them.

I have two nest cameras. An indoor and outdoor. I love my indoor cam it's amazing but my outdoor camera night vision doesn't provide a clear images.

I followed the directions for installation and it found my wireless connection just fine when plugged into the computer. I then moved it to the location I wanted it to be in - in a window - and tested it just inside the window and it worked fine. I then installed it in the outside of the window and it has constantly lost the signal. I checked the signal strength with my laptop and it gets a connection just fine (4 bars), so it appears to be a problem with the camera. I called the company and spent an hour with their tech people but in the end they had no solution other than the camera might have a problem getting a signal thru the glass. Has anyone else had this problem? By the way the router is about 30 feet from the camera, although there are a couple of walls between them (but note that my notebook worked just fine in the same location). Oh, and the tech suggested I get a router range extender – but I am not keep on spending more money on something that may or may not help.

We bought this camera in December and have had miserable support from Google. The cameras arbitrarily drop our phones from the program, stop live filming, etc. and you can’t contact Google directly for help, you have to go through Facebook, and type your questions. We are just about ready to pull this camera and go with another that has competent support.

A little disappointed I have to subscribe to a service. Was not informed of this when I purchased the product.

Returned this item. We were unable to install it because of wiring.

I installed it Myself. It keeps disconnecting from our WiFi. I even got a WiFi extender And it still happens.

We have been having problems with outside cameras! The light doesn’t come on after dark,as it should?

Cord is entirely too big to put through a wall. Not sure how this is meant to go outdoors.

Expensive, but you get what you pay for. Requires a subscription to get full features though.
