    Not happy with this security camera it keeps going off-line I cannot get any help was on hold for 45min and just gave up.

      Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. We're really sorry this happened to you, but we'd like to help you as best as we can.

      Connectivity issues may be caused by interference between your Wi-Fi router and Nest Cam Outdoor. To isolate the issue further, we recommend temporarily moving your Nest Cam Outdoor closer to the router. If you notice an improvement with performance and Wi-Fi connectivity, you can consider using a Wi-Fi extender between the router, and where your Nest camera is mounted to improve the connection and lessen the interference.

      Another possible reason may be the bandwidth your camera is connected to. Please make sure your Nest Cam Outdoor is utilizing the 2.4GHz band since it covers a larger area than 5GHz band does as long as the 2.4GHz band can deliver 2Mbps of download and upload speeds.

    This was by far the worst purchase I’ve made in a while. The camera was difficult to sync. I worked on syncing the device for 4 days. It would take forever to reach the customer service department, and when I did- I still couldn’t get the help I needed. None of the reps seemed to know what they were really doing. Very inexperienced. I took the product back.

      Blurry images may also be linked to the bandwidth congestion on your Wi-Fi network.
      Nest cameras typically require between 0.8 Mbps to 4.0 Mbps per device to upload properly, depending on the video quality setting you selected. We suggest making sure your Wi-Fi network is clear, and the Wi-Fi signal to Nest Cam Outdoor is strong.

      The new Nest Aware and Nest Aware Plus subscription plans actually lets you enjoy both storing your video clips and 24/7 recording onto the Cloud. We recently launched this cost-saving plan to cover all the Nest cameras in your home for a fixed price. You get additional features such as 30 days of event video history, intelligent alerts, Sound detection (US only), and Emergency calling (US only).

    You’ll need to pay a monthly fee to have full functionality of the cameras! Without the monthly fee you only get 3 hours of video in the past that had detected motion only (so no full video recordings). Free trial is okay but not worth it. Arlo might be a better option!

    No stars. Camera would not work. I spent a considerable amount of time on the phone with your customer support helping me set it up. When I moved it to the location it was intended for, it never worked again. I returned it for a complete refund.

    Please do not buy any Nest products. There are better products on the market that outperform Nest in every category. If you want your video feed constantly buffering, MIA, or want to pay a 3rd party to keep “your” videos on “their” servers. Then go right ahead.

    One of the two cameras didn't work. Was a gift, so not a very good one. When I got home, I brought camera back with me and tried it at my house. Acts like it want to work but camera blacks out.

    This is my second Nest product (1st was the thermostat) and it did not disappoint. It was very easy to install and setup. The camera works really well, both in day time and night time. I'm really impressed at how well it works at night with no lighting on my porch. The nest aware service works really well, giving me email alerts when there is activity detected and it's super easy to move through the video timeline to look at only activity that matters. The only thing I would like to make it better is a longer USB cable between the camera and the adapter. I was able to reach with the provide cable into my crawlspace but a few more feet would have made mounting the power adapter better.

    Our first camera failed within 7 days, customer service replaced it quickly. Cloud video storage servers were unstable and the storage price is too expensive, when app and server stability is less than 70% available.

    I bought 1 camera for the inside of my house to watch my dogs. Then I got a second inside one and then an outside camera. This is the second outdoor camera. We use it by our front door and back door. They have some connection issues with a little lag. We did go with the Nest Aware plan. For all 4 cameras it will be $250.00 a year but when we go out of the country it is great to have. If you didn't have to pay so much it would be better. Maybe having a 2 day plan and only half the fee. But over all a good camera.

    Stopped working correctly after a few months. Now night vision not working at all and very poor quality image. Other ones I have work fine for years.

      Most Night Vision issues are caused by your camera’s infrared light reflecting off a surface near your camera, like a shelf, window, window screen, or wall. You may try the steps below to isolate the issue:
      - Clean the lens with a soft cloth that’s made for cleaning optics. Dust, thumbprints and dirt can cause poor image quality.
      - Turn your camera so that any nearby surfaces or objects (like a wall) are out of view.
      - Use the Nest app to zoom and enhance and crop out surfaces or objects that may be causing glare.
      - If you see a bright white shape along the edge while everything else is too dark, there might be a surface that’s too close in your camera’s view (like a wall). Angle your camera so the surface stays out of view.
      - Move nearby objects that may be reflecting the infrared light into your Nest camera.

    Voice talk cannot work with Samsung S10

    No matter how I troubleshoot. The voice talk just won't work on my Galaxy S10. But it works on my iPad. Too expensive and not compatible with all phone. Be aware for other brands.

    The included viewing history is extremely limited and does not always work without purchasing a monthly nest aware subscription. For example, if a motion alert is set, it will only capture a snapshot and it will only be available for a few hours.
