Very poor instructions and setup System does not work as stated in instructions.

After trying 3 different security cameras, I settled with Nest. It easy to install and the features are very useful especially ability to talk to someone caught by the camera. The clarity of day and night vision are beyond amazing. I will buy another one to monitor my whole house especially when our family is on vacation. It alerts your phone of movements and sound around the coverage area. This is how security camera is suppose to work. Again excellent product!

Love the camera and would like to get another one soon.

Cameras are super easy to install. The app is easy to install and navigate as well the picture quality is decent enough but i would expect better quality when zooming in. My #1 con to this product is that you have to pay for a subscription to be able to view video that has already happened, you can view live stream but you can't view anything that has already happened unless you have the subscription....PER CAMERA!!!!!! I have the 5 day plan which cost $50/year....PER CAMERA! I have 4 cameras!!!!! So i can only view video from 2 of them. Be aware of this before buying! And a lot of the time i won't get a notification until about a minute after the motion was detected, if it even detects it

I was looking to find a way to have home security cameras without having to be in front of them watching them all the time. These cameras are great for monitoring your home and being alerted to when you need to. Setup is fairly simple thru the Nest app and the physical installation in the location almost takes longer especially if you are up on a ladder. Camera quality is amazing for security cameras and I can clearly see faces, license plates, etc in case I need them. Nest app is easy to use and I can scroll thru my notification history if I need to find a clip and save it. I can also set zones so I am not alerted to every single car passing by my home or if I just want to get person alerts Overall great products and will be buying more for my home!

I'm super happy with my new outdoor nest cam. The hardest part of the setup was drilling holes and hanging 2 plates. Took about 30 minutes for the installation and camera setup. Way faster than the D-Link cameras I have indoors. I have D-Link cameras inside because I was looking for something with PIR motion detection to reduce false alarms with cars going by and the sun on partly cloudy days, so I was a bit apprehensive about false alarms with this camera, but I've been pretty obsessed all weekend watching LIVE and the sightline has true notifications. You can hover over the dot to see if it is the neighborhood cat or something you want to watch. This 1 watches my vehicle, back door and both back windows and the best part is it sends notices, so I will have time before they get in. It is installed 65 feet from my router with no problems. Already planning where I'm putting my front door cam. I know a lot of reviewers say the monthly fee is a con, but I find the off-site recording is necessary since they are stealing the cameras too now. Try to make it as hard as possible and take a picture of the back of your camera before mounting it, so you have those numbers. I feel the only con is the attached cord and limited length. Being attached makes it hard to fish in and out of tight spaces and I don't like using extension cords for the fire hazard factor.

I recently had some high school kids with to much time on their hands sneak into my back yard while I was at work and do some damage. I did a lot of research before buying. I installed this Nest Outdoor 1080p camera over my garage door in front of the house. The 140 degree view lets me view from one neighbor's sidewalk to the other and into the street. I ran the plug wires under the garage door when it closes and into the same outlet as the opener. With the garage door open the signal was good but when it closed I kept getting a poor wifi signal alert. I ended up buying a Netgear AC750 wifi range extender and have not had an issue since. The 1080p picture quality is great. I get alerts when there is motion and a different alert if there is a person. There is about a two second lag time. I'm good with that. That could be from my wifi, I'm not sure. It was easy to set up and install. I've had the camera for about two weeks now. I would recommend this camera.

I have several cameras throughout my house and was waiting for the right one to come out for outdoors. This is definitely it!! Video quality and night vision is great. Best aware is a must to reduce false alerts and actually let you know when it's a person your camera spotted

I installed four outdoor cameras this week. My experience so far has been all very positive. From the time I opened the box and saw the awesome packaging, to the ease of install, setup and bringing the cameras online, I'm of the opinion that this is one of the best purchases I've made in a long time. The software is loaded with features that I've yet to set up, such as establishing multiple zones for each camera to prioritize attention, alerts to notify you of activity in the zones and knowing whether you are at home or away. Video resolution and night vision are both excellent. When viewing alerts on phone or computer, the software takes you to a few frames before the activity that caused the alert. If anything changes in my opinion, I'll update, but as of now, I believe this is a top-notch product.

This was so easy to set up I can hardly believe it. I purchased a camera that was a bit cheaper originally, and spent one entire frustrating day trying to get it to work. I returned it and bought this for just a few dollars more. Very easy to set up, easy to install, and monitoring works flawlessly. Love it!!

I bought the two pack for the value, as it saves you a bit of money over buying them individually. I have these installed outside the front and back of our house and they provide consistent HD quality video that we can use to spy on the dogs or any unwanted guests. Installation is pretty easy, just trying to figure out a way to hide the cable was bothersome, but at least Nest provides you with wall tacks to secure the wire. I've had these for a few months now and they've gone through all sorts of weather and are still functioning perfectly.

I have bought 5 of these now. They work very well. All it takes to setup is scan the QR code on the camera through the nest app with your mobile device and connect it to your network. Installation is also easy. It comes with a long cord, screws, and molly screws. The app will notify you when anything walks in front of it. You can set up zones so it will watch certain areas. I am more than happy with these cameras.

Nest app is awesome. Install is simple! Ties into same app with my Nest Thermostat and Nest Protects. Only gripe is they should offer a wired version. Prior to purchasing these cameras I ran Cat6 cabling all through my new construction thinking I was going to install a wired PoE camera. I always believe if you can be wired vs wireless that's the way to go. With that being said I decided to purchased these and I'm happy I did. Image is crystal clear. It's zooms but it's not that great. Make sure you have blazing fast internet as well as good wireless coverage near the cameras. The std internet service will leave you disappointed especially when trying to use the 2 way audio. I have 150mb service from xFinity. On the 1st evening I installed I caught someone trying to get in my new construction house and looking through my garbage. I shouted at them after I received a text motion alert and scared them off. Regarding install I had to buy some adapters that turned my Cat6 into a power line for the camera. I also bought a metal electrical box that I mounted outside next to the camera for a neat install as the cable is very long on these cameras and I nearly put it all into the electrical box. Overall good product but Nest needs to step up and offer a wired PoE version. Something to note is I live in IL and winters get cold. Let's see if these survive the frigid temps. I put a skin on the camera that you can find online hoping it might help keep it insulated better.

I needed a Wi-Fi camera to keep an eye on my back yard (and to see if my pool guy was actually doing his job) and I couldn't be happier with the Nest camera. Setup was easy, and the app works great. My roommate and I both have logins and can keep an eye on our back yard when nobody is home, and yes, watch the pool guy.

This camera is so easy to use thanks to its software. Making clips is great, the subscription service means they save the data for you and make the clip easy to share at other websites. There is no way to save a still photo, though. The magnet mount makes positioning it at any angle no problem. I do have some problems with the hardware. If you're plugging it in inside, the cable is attached to the camera. This means you must fish the USB plug to the inside from the outside and the hole must be 1" in diameter or larger. The cable is also pretty long, but not long enough if you want to really organize the cord well (run it along rafters, joists, etc). I have to have mine just helter-skelter over some insulation.

You can get a wifi camera for much much less that has the same or better image quality than this camera. Read google post before you buy. You will find many complaints about these cameras going offline constantly. The complaints go back from the beginning and nothing has been done to correct the issue. I called customer service about the connection issues. The tech was friendly but could not fix the issue. It is NOT a poor signal or interference with my router. I have two other wifi cameras (different brand) that never lost a connection for no reason. You will find the Nest cam pauses while watching live view and sometime will not start back until you exit and restart the app. I would not buy a Nest product again until they correct the connection issues. Also, a storage fee of $150.00 a year for two cameras keeping only 10 days of storage is outrageous. They need to make the camera so that you can stream to your desktop or some other server. The other two cameras I have can do that and I bough two of those for the price of one Nest cam. Sorry for the poor review Nest but these are the facts that only you have control over.

This camera is very easy to get running, just plug in and open the app! Great video, and gives a strong piece of mind. The only downfall is subscribing to the Nest Aware, but a small price to pay for keeping an eye on your home.

I bought this to keep an eye on my elderly mom and I love it I can see that she is ok. and if I have to I can even talk to her. I bought the 3 camera pack and I will be adding an night camera to this. highly recommend

All the reviews here are accurate... The Nest cam is great. Super easy set up, great video quality and very user friendly. Highly recommend.
