This is a pretty basic to use camera for monitoring needs. Set up is easy, and the picture quality is great. I love that you can zoom in, too. The free replay is great for the promotional period, and it's only $5 a month to maintain a five day video record that can be reviewed. All in all, a great item.

I purchased the 2 pack and they are very easy to install. Wireless setup took a couple tries but that could have been due to distance from wifi router. Install took about an hour but was fairly easy. Camera video quality is great and software is easy to use.

I have now bought 3 Nest cameras. The video quality is very good and like remote viewing and 2 way sound. One not so great piece with having multiple Nest cameras is that if you want storage for video clips, you must pay per camera. First camera at around $100 and then $50 for each additional camera. No mention of this on 2 camera Nest packaging.

The nest outdoor camera is great, video quality is superb, motion detection works well, the only negative is the speaker is very poor and someone trying to communicate with you via the camera is going to have a hard time understanding what you are saying

Nest Cams service prices are tough to swallow

The cameras were easy to setup. The app made it very easy to view the live or saved footage. Scrolling back and forth in time was a breeze. Once the 30 day free trial for their cloud service was over the video storage of past motion detection events was gone. The camera saved a picture instead. (Which I knew would happen) The picture, most of the time had nothing in it that made the motion detection think there was something there. The price to pay each month just to see the shadows on my lawn change or an occasional deer walk by was too much. The cameras also drop offline multiple times a day. I read a lot about interference from odd things on your network or in your home causing this problem. i wasn't looking to dig into all the items in my house to find if there was one doing this or if it was really just the cams dropping.

I believe these are good cameras except I didn’t think they will suit my home for outdoor use because the tech said I have to take them down and charge them every 1-2 days. They aren’t hard wired cameras. They have to stay charged and plugged in. I had to return them because that’s not what I was looking for .

I bought these cameras to keep an eye on my backyard and garage. They were easy to setup and the picture is amazing. We have the indoor version and love being able to keep an eye on our house when we are away. I recommend this product to anyone.

This is a great addition to the Nest line of cameras that allows you to easily add surveillance to any property. The camera requires a subscription which will set you back and additional $100 for your first home's camera and $50 for each thereafter that will give you 10 days worth of recording (who needs more than that?). The camera itself is solid in construction and is a breeze in its operation but the instillation is a bit of a problem. Connecting it to your app is just as easy as it is for the indoor cameras (very easy) but the physical install is not ideal. The cords are cumbersome in their length and you'll need a professional to get it to look clean and not be set up such that it is easy to steal (though, if someone does steal it, you'll have a remote server storing the video of their theft). Just keep that in mind, you will possibly need a $250 electrician job to make this look ''clean'', in addition to the annual cost.

The quality is great and set up is easy, but I wish there was a way to stop the camera from notifying me every time it rains or snows. Also I don’t like that you have to pay for Google Nest monthly for things that should be standard with a security camera

I was really impressed with the ease of installation the quality of the product and mounting hardware. The video quality is great and you're able to zoom in on things digitally. I enjoy the live updates, alerting me when the camera sees or hears something. We'll see how they hold up.

This camera system is good for anyone that doesn't want to run additional cables to a DVR system. All you need to run is the power cable. The power cable provided is long enough for most situations I would think. The "hardest" thing about the whole thing is running the power cable to where you need your camera. Notifications are good but could be improved since they're is a slight delay from from noticing the person in the camera to receive it on your phone. Resolution and picture quality is good. If you're looking for cameras with remote capabilities and no DVR I would recommend these. That's if you don't mind paying the subscription fee to use the advanced features and remote storage (which is a must for this camera system). Otherwise you're just getting still pictures and not be able to review past footage. Also a good wireless router with strong signal is recommended if you have multiple devices connected and also high bandwidth for your internet connection.
