By far the best security camera I’ve purchased. I have 2 so far.

I had the Ring spotlight camera, whilst it worked for the most part, it missed a LOT of stuff; it also did not record 24/7. WiFi was awful on the ring as well. Swapped it out and got this nest. I am very pleased but the notifications are decades behind ring. It send a notification if a car rides by, sun creates a shadow, or if a bug flies by. This results in thousands of false alarms. Disable motion detection and have person notifications on and it should resolve the issue. Regardless, the quality of the video and 24/7 recording makes up for the shortfalls. You will need a very good router and a speedy uplink. I’m running 4 IQ cameras, two ring pro doorbells and two regular nest outdoor cameras. All cameras are set to the Max quality With no issues. I’m on a 400/25 connection.

Very easy to install, great picture and quality. I have two different systems and will be switching my other cameras to these. Works best with the nest ware subscription, very worth it.

Excellent security camera and like that I do not have to charge batteries. It is always ready. It was easy to set up and has excellent picture quality. Highly recommend.

1080p resolution certainly put this camera at the top of the home, wireless security camera game. If you plan on perching this camera up to 10'-15', having 1080p resolution is critical to catching and recording fine detail, that of a security camera. The notifications that are sent to your phone or email are very helpful, giving you comfort knowing when people are coming and going from your property. Installation was simple and timeless.If you plan to buy, I would recommend a wi-fi extender if you have other wireless devices in the house. This unit did seem to take an extra amount of wi-fi connectivity to sync. If you have spotty wi-fi, this camera is very susceptible to dropping out with connection and thus becoming useless to your security needs. After we purchased an extender, we haven't experienced any issues.

The picture and video quality are excellent. Very easy to setup and manage. Will be looking to expand more cameras especially since nest has revised it's subscription price.

Nest cameras are the most reliable cameras I've ever had. They are easy to set up and have great picture. The app is easy to use with many options. I would definitely recommend.

It deserves the 5 stars on overall design, performance and setup alone but the standard USB connector they use to connect the camera to the power cord is way too large and the only minor issue I see. It's watertight and the all around design and performance couldn't really be better for the price IMO with that one exception. The connector, should you want to mount it outside with little to no wire showing needs to be put through a hole into the interior of your home for power, etc. So, with knowing that, the smallest hole you could possibly make is 3/4" - quite large for a low voltage USB cable. But I went ahead and did it anyway, sealed around it and it's been excellent. It's about 50ft from my router through 3 interior walls and a metal garage door and I've had no connection issues on a 2.4ghz wifi connection.

Nest cams are among the best, especially of you don't like to change expensive batteries often. The pictures are very clear and the cost for saving the anything recorded is very reasonable. I have purchased more cams for family members.

The setup of the cameras was as easy as it gets. The operation and picture quality is great. I would give 5 stars if the cabling for power was a bit easier to use in my particular situation. But the system Nest uses for power supply should work for most people without a big hassle

Great cameras, I have been using them for the last 2 years in Phoenix, AZ and they have been working great. The kit came with everything you need to install the cameras.

Love these, can watch what’s going on at home through your phone. You can get alerts when someone is spotted or when motion is detected. The picture is pretty clear and can talk to someone through it as well. Love these!

Love this product. I was worried about the installation since it is for outdoor use but it was super easy. The picture quality is great and it synced right up with my other cameras.

This camera is amazing. Very user friendly and pairs seamlessly with all Nest equipment and the app. We don’t necessarily use it for the intended purpose (we spy on our dog durning the day) but it’s great.

Ive had this camera over a year now and its ok. I decided on it since I already pay a subscription to nest for my doorbell and needed a camera above the garage. It works, sometimes. Its not very far from one of my two access points, but will constantly disconnect numerous times throughout the day. Its the only device in my house that has issues staying connected. Wish this camera had a POE option as it was difficult to find a plug when running the power cord through the attic.

Nest cameras are very easy to configure with a smart phone. The outdoor cameras have a small disk a little larger than a quarter that can be mounted with 2 screws, then there is a "puck" that attaches by magnet to the disc and the camera attaches to the puck by magnet. The magnet is very strong and the camera should be held securely, although someone could grab it and rip it off the house or building. The supplied cable is very long (25ft or so) however it comes in 2 pieces, both of which must be used and the connector at the 10 ft mark is very big thus requiring a large hole (I think I used a 7/8" bit but you may be able to go a little smaller) to be drilled to get the cable inside the house if that is how you are going to plug it in.
